Yes, please include the entire weekend. I do work many hours during the week!

 

It's been revealed in a tentonhammer.com post that you'll switch towns via a portal (or moongate type looking thing)

How do we test if we don't have time to be on exactly?

Its a poor choice of testing times, its needs to be over the weekend. And actually, we are all aware that its not play time since there is no real play to be had when testing housing and crafting.

 

yeah but they want not to work on weekend so to fix main issues during the test time they have 2 workdays included

 

I get this and understand the thinking behind it. Perhaps at this stage it is enough time to test whats been put in. I just wanted to be able to spend some significant time in the game trying to break things and see what I could do with the limited resources they give us.

If not now then next time perhaps.

More than anything, I just want to be there to help make this a AAA game.

Is there a proposed date for the full Beta release? Sorry if this was already covered, there are a lot of pages to read through here lol

 

Nope, but R4 extends till ???? so... it's possible that R4 will stretch right until beta. Although I expect the official beta being once they have all of the game features implemented, and being the point we are ready for play testing. SO if they call this R1-R4 pre alpha, end of R4 might be alpha, then beta the last few months before launch. It's about game features to terminology, they usually like all game features to be in by the end of alpha, and beta is crushing bugs, and testing gameplay. So I think that's why they are calling this pre-alpha.

 

I doubt R4 can be declared Alpha as combat is only going to be PvE. Without visibility into their Release schedule post R4, it's hard to say. If they keep their monthly Release cadence, we could see up to R11 in October. So Alpha could be R7/R8 and Beta R9/R10 assuming we hold to an estimated October release.

Well Lum previously said he said most likely R4 will be considered Alpha but nothing is official at this point. Honestly if they kept the servers up all the time after R4 and pushed out weekly patches for us to test that would be amazing!

is it to late to guggest a little less flat shading in the houses ? When there's no lights are turned on it all looks a little flat shaded. it could a little occlusion baking if you know what i mean...

 

Never too late! The lighting inside homes definitely needs a lot of work, but they said they've baked enough time into the schedule towards the end for "polish". But yeah, my eyes bleed whenever I see the houses during the day. At night it's fine because of all the necessary lighting, but they do need to work on the shadows from light sources.

 

As a Royal Artisan ($80) backer, should I be able to log in to the game today?

 

No. The Alpha is currently only during set times. The next release will be later this month.
