Foods...

I am thoroughly annoyed by the fact that all the grocery/vegetable merchants in NPC towns I visited today did not sell me a thing I could make an "advanced" dish from. If cooking becomes this important I hope finding ingredients becomes easier, too...

 

Now I know how to make nice amount of money easily.There seems to be lots of people who could need grocery home delivery . Just kidding, sorry, I could't resist....

 

Does someone have the numbers on R33 regen vs. R34 regen with the 'good' food available?
From what I'm reading here, even the 'advanced' stuff is falling way short of bringing regen back to a playable level.

 

Here are the numbers I observed:

Base regeneration
R33: +12 Health, +10 Focus per second
R34: +2 Health, +2 Focus per second

Food
Bark Bread: +1 Health, +1 Focus for 20 minutes
Banana Bread: +1 Health, +1 Focus for 20 minutes
Garlic Cheese Bread: +1 Health, +1 Focus for 20 minutes
Mutton Stew: +1.5 Health, +1 Focus for 20 minutes

Please complete with your own numbers.

I believe the best food are either +2.5 Health or +2.5 Focus for 40 minutes.

Yes, this is awful. With the best food, you can only achieve up to 35% of the former health generation rate, and only for 40 minutes. Now, I have to wait more than 3 minutes after killing every couple of enemies.

 

This was a terrible idea. I'm not looking to sit idle for 2 minutes after every fight. I already drain focus at a high rate, don't make farming more of a chore than it already is...

 

"Umm...I think I have heard about boost of focus bottles...just when they might be necessary I cannot find those...."

 

After reading this thread, I was just wondering about that. Or even if we could make an exceptional dish cooking one at a time instead of a batch. maybe something that would give a better food buff?

 

I couldn't find carrots ANYWHERE the last few days. And we had hunting parties looking from city to city! Critical to some dishes. Stealing has been a problem. I noticed virtue truth dropping further and further as a result

One more note. Some towns (such as Etceter) didn't have a Farmer merchant able to sell some of the cooking components. Seeds yes but items like tomatoes or bananas? I had to run to another city to find them. Perhaps Aerie has them. I'll have to check. Otherwise it's a long run back
