    Greetings Fellow Avatars,

    I have been looking for years for an alternate universe that would combine the right amount of combat, magic, crafting, RP, community involvement, developer commitment and the ability to enjoy a 15 minute or 15 hour session depending on my schedule. I can say that SotA meets, or exceeds, my criteria and it’s been a long time since I’ve enjoyed the obsession that a great game causes.

    I’ve read, and experienced, the complaints about graphics, combat decks, time spent learning the SotA universe, etc., etc. but I’m thoroughly enjoying my time spent in SotA and that’s how I judge value. Your results may vary, but my hope is that you are enjoying your experience as much as I am.

    I’m not blind to the challenges. Are there problems, bugs, incomplete quests, schedule delays, etc., etc. etc? Certainly, and many of these frustrate me as well. But I believe SotA has two distinct advantages that will give it long- term viability (and thus the time needed to improve):

    1. The Portalarium team commitment. Based on what I’ve experienced in the game, read in the forums and saw on the telethons, it appears SotA is a labor of love for them. As long as they maintain that passion, SotA will have no end in sight unlike other projects that are developed, marketed and forgotten after a few years because the team moved on.

    2. The SotA community commitment. Other projects have dedicated communities, but how many have put out thousands of hours of their time AND millions of their hard-earned dollars to support the game? The passion of the community feeds off the passion of the Port team and vice-versa.

    I have a home in Spite with a beautiful view of the waterfall and wonderful neighbors. When I’m in multi-player mode, you’ll find me as Paradoxx or Johnkirk Bayard and I hope to see you there. Good hunting to all!

    Greetings and salutations Bayard, glad you are joining the Shroud of the Avatar community!

    Definitely agree with you on those points :). The community is amazing with all that they do for each other. They will do much for each other, and that's what makes this game particularly special in my own opinion.

    Glad you got settled in Spite! Have a screenshot of your place? Would love to visit it!
