How to deny money from the oracle.

How can one do the daily confessions and not want what I consider charity or bribery. I simply want to converse.

 

Then save it and pass it on to someone that needs it.

 

That is an option but its not an answer. I play in single player online.

 

I think as long as you don't ask for it to test you then you should be ok to converse with it. You can still have it inform you of where you are on the paths without getting the bribes.

 

On QA server it gave it to me for just talking. Same with town criers. I was looking for available housing and it gives me gold. I do not like it.

As of R34, you need to answer accurately on whether you have followed one of the virtue path or not. So you can intentionally answer it wrong to decline the money.

 

Unless you are playing a truthful sort... because then lying would defeat the purpose of always telling the truth. 8^p

 

Do you mean R35 haha because I have answered yes I do and no I don't although, So I am going with yes I do for now because it seemed there was no reward for admitting my sins one time . It could have been a gliche though

 

Do not type or click on "test" and you'll be able to chat up the Oracle just like before.

Then, no headaches on whether the 500g is charity or bribery. It would just be hearsay.

Eh don't worry yourself over it, it's only 100g and you only get it once. Pretty sure you won't even notice that extra 100g, and doubt you need to check on every town's lot availability.

 

I understand what you are saying. I think you are missing my point. If I think it is not virtuous to take the money and as an avatar I do not want charity or maybe bribery, I should be wary of accepting this money. I should question who or why some one wants to give me gold for free. It reminds me of a foustian deal with the devil.

 

Giving 500 gold to a begger might not help the beggar. It surely could help someone hard on their luck, but not all beggars are in the same situation.

 

How about you take that gold, go buy a ton of reagents from an npc, then spend the day aoe healing randoms in town to repent for taking that bloodmoney.

 

I love all the jest, but honestly this is something I think about. I am not into the mmo part of the game as much as the single player online.

 

Well you just might have to live with the self loathing :3 They are not likely to write up an out because one person on the server doesn't want to click themselves some free gold.
