'Ice Lots' and Water-Based Deeds

In R26 is it possible to place a village water lot deed marker on 'ice' in the snowy mountain biome? I have been unable to get that to work so far.

If not working is what is intended, I advocate that water lot deeds and markers should be changed to work on what appears to be water ice. Else the snowy biome design is a bit counter to water lot deed pledge rewards.

 

I'd like to know too, i want to put a boat on my future snowy mountain POT, on the ice lake area.

 

There is a houseboat in wizards rest now on ice which is very snowy so I presume you can.

 

There is a trick to placing water lot markers in any biome. You have to look for coastline that is very straight and the angle of land approaching the waterline will be very sharp (as if it was carved with a tool). Then it is a matter of getting the edge of the lot the right distance from the waterline. I cannot wait util you can place water lots on a pier. My main water lot is a city sized on a pier I cannot use right now.

 

Yes, boats are allowed on the ice.

I found it alot easier to place a water lot this release. The trick is to get the stone the right distance from the water. I just put the square in the water/ice and drag it toward me until the stone is on land enough to turn green. I'm not sure if it has to be totally straight, but I did try to straighten it out a bit. (In past releases I let majoria do all the water lots )
