    Nope.

    1. Fast patching
    2. Game time tracking
    3. FPS display (overlay)
    4. Fast login

I also appreciate that it has tons of games for Linux users. Someone tried to tell me once that Steam was bloated. It's sitting at 32M resident currently (Win10) and no CPU usage, so I dunno where that comes from.

I only wish Steam games could be installed in the regular place for apps (C:\Program Files or whatever). But that's really just my OCD.

I never linked to Steam in the first place:) I can understand why people like Steam, but it has major drawback for me. SSA (Steam Subscriber Agreement) which translates that I have all games bowrrowed and Valve can decide at any time to restrict my access and if I disagree with that I can delete my account and lost access to everything:) I do not like that extremely one sided rules. Yes Steam works for now and Valve was reasonably nice and banned very few people without reason, but I just disagree with it and I do not want to suport business models that prevent me to decide when I can play games I bought. I really like gog in this aspect.

Thx to Steam the PC Gaming has a future.
They have a market share in the PC Gaming Distribution est to be 70%.

So basically ignoring Steam means you ignore 70% of potential Customer Base.

Probably Steam is good in what it is doing?
Why would over 100 Million use Steam if it is a bad product?

I am a happy Steam User.

As we agreed earlier, its not that its a bad product, its just set up in a way to promote that I dislike, I'm not on a crusade to convince people to not use it :)

As I said I just think because its a gaming community that this type of platform could be open source and free, without the arbitrary rating system, what I mean is that its not setup like a community, its setup like corporations like to see their product rated. If it was setup like bandcamp and almost all profit goes to the developers directly I would be a happy steam user too :)

I wish I could make a new thread titled, "If you could relink your steam account a second time, would you?"

I'd link to steam 1000 times if I could.

Steam is very convenient and has excellent download speeds. I can't imagine any reason why I'd ever want to stop using it.

Unless I was using GoG perhaps? Even then I'd rather just use both.

I know exactly how you feel, and its a valid point. Every game I buy in steam I go out and download the... you know.... the other version out there, so I have a playable backup just in case something like that happens.

I dont like steam because I am an old schooler that avoids TSR memory programs at all costs.

Why does it need to be linked? I have MANY MMOs on steam that aren't linked.
