It might get better when the Benefactor Lord house is revealed, if it ever is. It's like waiting for the freelancer strut free redesign in SC

I think that the benefactor house will be better.

The honest truth is the fact that the Knight's Keep is exclusive only to people whom have pledged at the Knight level or higher. Anyone can purchase the 3 story wood and plaster house. It can be broken down to aesthetics and/or personal preference as well. :)

Yes, like the citizen and Eldelmann houses, but not that upscale now, and you can also buy it to other players.

Yes, people can sell their exclusive houses in game. There are a fixed number of pledges that can be purchased, as a result of that those houses will become rare in time. I suppose if someone is looking at upgrading to the Knight level vs. just buying the 3-story house, they would have to weight in the other benefits of the Knight level.

Actually the number of pledges per level are not fixed at all. And they will be rare with the time, but at start will be one of the most overproduced houses in the game (remember that every founder Knight+ will have 3 knight houses/lighthouse). Until now the main reason to upgrade was that the house was the only really big with 3 floors for a village lot. For me that point is lost.

Wouldn't really count the roof as a floor. The knights house is only 2 stories and the roof I believe and that's the issue. Not aesthetics but a pure fact that this house is actually bigger and that is a slap in the face to the whole reason the knight's level exists

I used both for some hours in the R5 and I can say that in term of floor space ("gound") the Knight house is a little bigger, but I must admit that the distribution is a little bit weak. The true is that for me both houses have a similar quality. I can understand very well your feeling.

I feel also a little bit dissapointed, but Im trying to concentrate in the positive things. When I started my monthly payment I thought "I hope they are not going just to sell a house like the wood & plaster three floor version in the shop". And maybe that house could be also purchased for in-game gold (shop houses are not exclusives).

I will admit if someone is already at the Citizen level and wants to upgrade to the Knight level it is a bit harder to swallow now. This is assuming they are a benefactor.

I think the expert crafting station alone is almost worth the $300.

All I know is, if I ever make a game with housing I'm never going to use the world upscale, it caused so many issues already

Well the three variants are coming out, and as part of it they're resigning the cockpit because of complaints of the struts obstructing the view.

I think it worth more than the house style itself, but that's just me.

The style taste is very subjetive. For me the Knight stone keep interior is very odd for a house, with a lot of wasted space, and the style is just ok. The strong point is the terrace, but no yard.

And I already forgot about the "upscale" factor.
