There is no "too close" for Body Slam.......... but I get your drift.
I use Body Slam as an interrupt on casters. I'm right in front of them usually, so range isn't the issue. It just fails to work, randomly.
That is correct....
And even tho' it is NOT working, it will often have you run in place just to make things even more annoying....
Running in place - in the middle of a battle, when you're supposed to be knocking them on their ass - is what causes Avatars to yell at the devs....
Play more, with your our stuff......... DEVS.
P.S. We're all on the same team, here...... so no hard feelings.
But, we could sure use some love on this one.......
Oh, and ASAP ! We're gettin' our asses handed to us out here for cripes sake.......

I have the same issue, happens to me in the Deep Ravenswood area, when taking on the obsidian bears, I get the first hit but after that unless I am on top of the mob it fails leaving me doing the scooby doo!
I've noticed this glitch in many zones.. Monkey room and the fall for most part. This seems to happen when a DoT or confusion is cast on me. I've noticed it a few times in pvp when I've had a fire DoT on me that I cannot use body slam so there is alot of room for this bug to be used as an exploit.
height difference helps prevent it.. so coincidently a quick hop before you do it, seems to be preventing the Scooby Doo effect...
I think it might have to do something with the cc buff targets get after being stun once. Not sure tho

Any gap closing skill suffers from this bug. Charge, Body Slam, Engage opponent, try jumping and activating in the air as it seems it can be caused by uneven terrain as your character will hit something in the space between target and toon and stop. Jumping and activating in the air will alleviate this on occasion. I've played other games with similar issues like ESO with their shield charge and to my knowledge they never fully fixed it. It would cause you to go under the map and fall through emptiness to your death, get stuck in place, stuck in the ground, stuck in the air or trees or walls. I got stuck in a wall in SoTA and was killed by a PVPer cause I couldn't get out or even heal myself. I've gotten stuck in target dummies and in walls behind target dummies. I've used it and run completely past the target dummy at break neck speed and ended almost on the opposite side of Sol town. Yeah this bug is going to cause quite a bit of head ache I believe before it gets eliminated if it ever gets eliminated.
Make the 'Scooby-Doo' an emote award! At least we might appreciate the irony by then.
Please make this a priority, Body Slam is the bread and butter skill for most of the heavy armor users. Thank you.
I've tested a bit this bug, seems like it's related to the range. If I am in range with the target the skill works, if I am out of range the skill is still lighted and I can cast it, but the character starts to run in place. I had the same issue with body slam and charge of shield.
Can we have an update on this please!
This is getting us killed,and should be a priority imho.
