[Known] Body Slam random glitch!

    Not in my experience, I can Scooby from the limit of the range and I can Scooby if I am standing on top of the target. It's not a range issue that I can see.

    I had to remove Body Slam from my deck for now, too unpredictable to use, hopefully it will be fixed by next release :(

    Body Slam - upon casting, character runs in place but does not advance. No Body Slam takes place. This is unlike a failure of Body Slam where character runs forward but does not stun target. Ive been working to reproduce this and making sure I am not under a spell that would keep me in place. I'm also making sure there is no pathfinding obstruction.

    I have reproduced this today fighting a lich in Oracle Colossus 11 out of 61 attempts.

    I don't know if you guys noticed, but there are issues with Body Slam... ;)

    I have fixed two issues so far. One that could occur if you started "casting" it and then by time it executed (next frame) it was out of range. The next one, is it was being resisted by crowd control. I have not been able to reproduce the situation where the avatar runs to the target and then gets stuck. In all of my testing I was never "locked" and the side effect was just the "scooby doo" animation. Maybe that situation has been resolved? From looking over the code, it seems like it would only be possible to get stuck for the duration of the move, if at all.

    Its also the charge skill so its not exclusive to BS.

    And also vrs a stationary practice dummy. Spend 15 mins trying to use the skill on a practice dummy ull see it.

    I'd second this. I've been trying to level Body Slam last night on a training dummy and it's funny - after you get into a mode where you're "Hup to!" and moving your legs fast, if you start playing a flute it's downright comical. You need to jump to break out.

    @oneandonly The avatar does not run to the target it just run in place when you use the skill, if you do not jump or use another skill it will continue, this behavior is visible only on my screen other players near by do not see it for them I am just standing there . It happens when you try it on dummies and they do not have crowd control and they do not go out of range! The problem is real we are not imagining things!!
    Body Slam worked perfectly before this last release!

    The issue I have with it is the animation running in place, without engaging the target. This only seems to happen if i am within a certain range. At the right range, it still seems to work.

    This bug is literally killing me in game.

    Can we have an ETA on WHEN a fix might occur?

    I am past the humour and now utterly frustrated with the 'Scooby'!

    Please make it stop!

    I mentioned Body Slam by name but the fixes I made apply to any "movement" based skill. Engage, Charge, Body Slam. And the crowd control I mentioned is the automatic crowd control that gets added when applying stuns, even test dummies get it. These fixes aren't live yet, they are on our internal test server. They won't be live until next release. I have done a good amount of testing with no real issues. I have seen instances where the skill animation doesn't play, but all game effects are still applied so it's only a minor issue.

    Sorry, Body Slam is not fixed. I was fighting the named lich in the Ruins Of Ravensmoor just now and was `Scoobying` in mid air instead of interrupting with body slams.

    I`m sure this is just as frustrating for you. :(

    Almar, he just said it wouldn't be in for another two weeks (R53 which is 'next release'). I had my old main skill broken Spellbinder's Stance for three releases, so you know @oneandonly is working hard to get this fixed in a single release. :)

    Body Slam, Engage opponent and Charge still not fixed.. Underlying problem should be rolled back to r51 when there was no issue at least till a fix is in place. These skills are major for melee as it closes our gaps.

    I can reproduce this many many times in 30 minutes. Its about 15% to 20% of the time it just runs in place and the character does not advance. Not sure why it works for Devs.
