Title: Using Def Stance After Fortify Def issue
    Reproduction Rate: 100%
    Blocker? No
Details: +35% defensive skill modifier only applies if def stance is used before Fortify Defenses. 6 points (in my case, probably a different amount for others) reduced in avoidance if Defensive Stance is used directly after Fortify Defenses.
Steps to Reproduce: Cast defensive stance before Fortify Defenses and see the 35% bonus. Use Defensive Stance after Fortify Defenses and watch your avoidance drop.

    So, to be crystal clear:

If you cast Fort Def, then Def Stance, you get no bonus from Def stance.

If you cast Def stance, then Fort Def, you do get a bonus from Def stance.

If you cast Def stance, then Fort Def, THEN Def stance again, the 35% bonus from Def stance is removed.

@Applerust, stances don't affect buffs that have already been cast. your third green point, where casting it again is over-writing the bonus, does sound like a bug, though. it SHOULD be over-writing it if you use a different stance, but not if you take the same stance again.

@Alley Oop Thanks for clarification. I'm grateful to people like you that read every. single. post. ever. :)

It was the 3rd part that made me think it was buggy, initially. But, wasn't sure about the rest so I just gave all of the process data from the beginning to the end.

Same with Glancing Blow and Dodge. I have bug reported this many times before.

The problem here is that the buff icon shows that it works, regardless of the order. You should get the bonus as long as your buff is active and Defensive Stance is active and this is what is indicated on the buff icon under your health and focus bars. What's broken here is that the bonus isn't actually applied if you check /stats. Esoteric behavior, like requiring the player to know that they have to use skills in a particular order, should never be part of a system design or considered "intended".

The main take away here is that the buff icon shows the correct behavior, so there is no game logic reason to prop-up why it should be implemented so poorly.
