I know that some scenes have yet to be updated but i would think if they were 'quest' scenes. Scenes with quests inside that the POI would be marked. I am still not familar with how to use the new things for maps. I keep logging in and going to a map scene to put a POI marker in but it wont let me. Keeps telling me I am not authorized to do such. So what is the point then. If i cant mark and save the info then there is no reason to use this new feature.
    Help!!!!
Will not allow me to save my markers.

@Rok Yrikk describes in the thread about maps

    • Personal POI Placement
      • Anyone who is logged in can place Personal Points of Interests.
      • Enable editing on the map by clicking the menu that says "Edit:Off" and Selecting "On."
    • Select the Personal POI Placement tool on the toolbar in the bottom left corner

    • Select an icon that you want to represent your POI.

    • Click on the map where you want your POI.
    • Click on the POI to bring up the edit screen.

    • Now you should be able to see your Personal POI with information!

BUT IT SEEMS IT DOESN'T WORK. I just tried it also.
May be @Rok Yrikk could help us with some information :)

This might be confusion around this message?
"You do not have permission to submit edits to this map, but you may make marks on it."
This means that you do not own this map, but you can put personal POIs on it. If you look at your toolbar, the personal POI tool should be visible if you turn on EDIT on any map. I see now the messaging is confusing, so I will change how that information is presented. It is meant to differentiate the maps that you can actually edit vs. the ones you can only place POIs on.

If this is not the case, please provide step by step directions how to reproduce the error you are seeing.

    Thank you Rok Yrikk!
    It's just simple:[IMG]

No POI ca be inserted on my layer ..

So the next step isn't possible:
    • Select an icon that you want to represent your POI.

I am not sure what this means, could you actually describe step by step what you do to get this issue?

Are you not seeing the Insert POI on My Layer icon like in the screen shot? Are you not seeing the icon selection come up on the right side of the screen? Are you in edit mode?

This is how I reproduce it successfully:
    * Logged into sota website, I go to the map of novia on a Chrome browser - https://www.shroudoftheavatar.com/map/?
    * I click Edit -> On, and dismiss the message that shows up
    * I click on the Insert POI on My Layer tool in the bottom left toolbar
    * When I click this, a list of icons shows up on the right.
    * I choose an icon from that list
    * I click on the map, the icon shows up where I clicked
    * I click on the icon, and edit the name and description then press save.

    * When I click this, ... NO list of icons shows up.
    --> I am using Firefox.
--> Just tried it with Microsoft Edge and Microsoft Internet Explorer, won't work.
May be there is an option to toggle so it works.
I don't know, what kind of option this could be? :(

I can mark on both scenes and in the Overland, but I do have to toggle Edit mode back on each time I change maps. This is in Firefox.

just checked and i can now mark on both. Maybe the maps have to be up to date in scenes.
But i marked a spot in Deep Ravenswood so at least i know it works now

    @Rok Yrikk

is there somewhere a information, where the borders of all regions are exactly?

    For example:
In QA R52 it is told:
Northwood: The town of Northwood is beyond the grasslands far north of Brittany, near the western coast of Spindrift Bay in the North Paladis region.

I thought, Northwood would be part of the Regalis Region. And North Paladis would end in the east at Sanctus River.
I asked in Release R52 Post Draft about, but no response until now.

Do you know, where to find an information?

    Thank you! :)
