Dear @Lum Can we please get a /me command? For example, I type in chat: /me slaps Budner in the face with stale cod he pulled out of his trousers And in game we'd see: Erik O'Connor slaps Budner in the face with stale cod he pulled out of his trousers
Like enderandrew said, in italics, or another color. Or generally whichever way its being done with NPCs. If you're around a cat, you'll notice things like, Ellie: (talking to themselves) (washes face) So right now its done in parentheses with the NPC choosing themselves as a target. Though, they could always build in support for NPC actions appearing differently than chatter also. It might be nice if a player could also select themselves and do a (talking to themselves) , or select another player and do something like (talking to steanne).
Btw, (talking to themselves) could be shortened to (to themselves) I don't know why they made it so verbose. Especially since, for instance, the cat isn't doing talking; but it would be implied if someone were. The game could detect gender also.
Completely agree with this. While animated emotes are nice, it would be nice also to have the /me function. Heavy RPers will appreciate it and most MMOs seem to include it these days. And yeah, redfish, the fact that when the Avatar performs a function that requires a pronoun to be used and it defaults to "their" instead of the gender specific one, it just reads a little...odd.
I'd like to see this, but I would prefer a command to /emote it (shortcut, /e) than /me it. Writing /me to start a sentence or command gets under my skin.
/me holds a Irish whisky towards Lum = *Myrcello holds a Irish whisky towards Lum* We can pay Gesendet von iPhone mit Tapatalk
other games you just higlight Budner and then do /emote slaps Budner in the face with stale cod he pulled out of his trousers. then it would come up Beli slaps Budner in the face with stale cod he pulled out of his trousers.
