Mining Question

I still dont understand why I have a 15% chance to harvest iron in one zone and a 40% chance in a different zone, yet my yield does not change. I really hope they start balaning things like this soon.

 

I think this will come with economy after the final wipe.

 

Yeah, I have no idea *how* different tiered nodes are supposed to operate now.

Higher tiers have a higher chance of producing rarer resources.. ie tin, tungsten but appears to currently be the only difference.

 

Yes, that was how I originally understood their implementation as well.

As to whether that is how they are supposed to work, no idea.

 

Glad to hear I'm not the only one confused. I would have though my skill at harvesting iron should be the same no matter where I am.

 

Difficulty settings for harvesting any node of any kind does seem rather awkward and unnatural doesn't it? One would imagine overall success rate would be the same but higher skill would simply yield more until a node is exhausted.

 

Anyone spot the advance training for mining? The one in Owl's head can't train Meticulous Collection...

Locations for the other advance trainers would also be appreciated. My contribution: Tactics is taught in the guard house at Owl's Head.

And as for meticulous, try a crafting trainer? by the crafting tables.
