    So not my favorite Benatar Christmas song, I actually remember watching this on tv in 1988 and the outfit she has on was in some videos from the Wide Awake in Dreamland album and I was in the SCA and my mom sewed me a super long shirt like in this video and I made myself a supple leather vest and dyed it black cause it was kinda period to run around in at night after doing heavy weapons combat during the day .

    So this leads off my Benatar Christmas songs as my song of the day.

    Benatar's Blues Album (called True Love) was fantastic with covers of BB King along with some wonderful originals. (FYI her current assistant used to work for BB King - her sole job was to take care of 'Lucile;) It also unfortunately marked the passing of my grandma which makes listening to any of the songs now a bit mournful for me. This song evokes that but in the Christmas tradition.

    While this 'video' is not showing Pat is about the music and that outfit.. That is so Lace to look like that rofl!

    9/11 happened well in September 2001, Pat Benatar being a native New Yorker put together this song very quickly albeit Norman Rockwellian, but wait till you hear some of the big notes. Even if not from the USA, think about 9/11 which inspired this song and it was very quickly released. It still holds up today for me.

    (Yes I know the background beat is a bit hokey .. just get past it and hear her vocals and tones it why I love Pat.)
    Thank you Pat for trying to rally the troops that year with a song that still works.

    A slight twist on one of my all time favorite Christmas songs. Man I loved ELP & Jethro Tull .
