    For the prizes (pledges, coins, etc) , you need to be in IRC and active, for the telethon rewards (determined by the overall amount pledged by everyone), you just have to pledge during the telethon. The cheapest way to do so is to buy a $5 gift coin.

    I wont be home during the telethon, sadly :_(

    But if someone wants to be active in IRC and represent me, and win prizes for me that would work out for me :D

    Ill be working but that doesn't mean I can't have my IRC on my phone going. What is considered active? Being able to chime in at certain times?

    I am not sure the exact criteria, but Lum has mentioned in hangouts before that he usually looks to see if someone has been inactive for hours when deciding if they qualify.

    Just like the monthly hangouts, someone is randomly selected. So it is important the name you use in IRC is the same as the one you use here in the forums, so they know who won.
