Something has always bothered me about the horizon (ocean) on the overland map. I think I've pin pointed it.

    1. Against the water, there's no reflection on the water at night.

Where as maybe this would make more sense? This probably isn't the best picture to use here.

The overland map appears to be missing some blend of clouds and reflection that would meld the sky and ocean together better.

This is probably just something that hasn't been addressed yet? Either way, I wanted to give this feedback, as I think the overland map as a whole is fantastic.

Yes, water reflection is definitely needed. I think some haze/fog right on the horizon edge would also help soften the very sharp world's edge that exists currently. Great reference image!

You are. In fact, in-game there are better screen shots that I could take that would also show that reflection. The problem with the reflection is that I don't see a moon that is providing the light. Meaning there is a disconnect from the upper to the bottom half of the horizon. I think that's one problem. The other problem is that there's a lack of "fog" or "mist" or "blur" at the horizon line that makes the skyline feel more manufactured than it should.

    Does that make more sense?

Here's a better picture with the reflection...

    What's making the reflection? :)
