I don't use G-SYNC monitor.
I have noticed, that there is low GPU usage in 1080p (33%). In 4k it's only 66%.
Try switching to private or friends-only mode in multiplayer tab when you press escape.
It's the only thing that noticeably improves my framerate. Learned about it on steam forums, it really do seems to work for lot of folks.
Makes me wonder just how many people play in private mode because of framerate. You may not like it cause you wanna se other people but...it really works. Unlike switching graphical settings which makes little difference to me. As bizzare as it sounds.
My system is an i7 with 32 GB memory, SotA installed on SSD and a NVidia GTX 1080 Zotac Extreme Edition graphics card.
These are my video settings
Pretty low fps in Online Mode. Much too low for my equipment, but ...
... good fps in Offline Mode.
What's the reason of these different frame rates in online and offline mode? Only a div can explain this.
Ok, will try it, although I would realy like to see other people...it's an MMO after all ;(
I tried and there is no difference
Heh probably for a better then. I get solid framerate but knowing I will no see other people Maybe playing in offline mode would help as Sir Cabirus said. But that really is insane solution for a framerate problem...in MMO game. In private mode I still can see other player cities and such and just switch to multiplayer when I want.
If nothing else there really seems to be some kind of issue with connection in this game. I read it uses some bizarre peer-to-peer system.
But why instead of lagging it reduces framerate? It really is shame.
More so it looks like not everyone have this issue so what exactly is causing it?
Is it maybe about where server is located? People have no issue in America but EU players get low framerate instead of high latency?
I made thread about it in Release Feedback section because there is defi something going on.
Thanks everyone for helping @Nelaerya out!
