1. We have a dedicated Player Test Environment on our QA server available for player use. This server will be kept open with periodic database resets, when we will copy the database from the live server. The server database will be updated at least twice a month during a scheduled maintenance window.

    Though players are welcome to use the QA server to experiment or test anything they wish, we will post patch notes and testing directives in this area. Players testing new content, features and systems will greatly help in reducing post release bugs and making the game better.

    To assist players in helping us make the game better, the Test Server will award login bonuses in CotOs and Gold coins to allow players to purchase resources or anything they may need to test from the Crown Store and/or from the in game vendors. In Addition, the Developers will announce dates/times when Dev Assisted Player Test Events will occur on the QA Server.

    Please use the Test Environment Bug and Feedback forums for QA Server activities only.

    You can help test by downloading a new SotA Launcher(QA) installer to download a separate QA copy of the game. It exists independently from the regular live version of the game and installs to a separate folder. To use the Player Test Environment, please download the QA Server client here:

    Trying something new here ...

    I will be doing most of the QA builds going forward. Today was the first one I completed end to end. (the Build took 7.5 hours total)

    I will strive to post here as I do for DB sync events when a new QA build goes live.

    In future there will also be patch notes! This time around I didn't collect all the info needed for a good set of notes.

    Suffice to say that Grusk has had a number of updates including the maps for both scenes. So please check it and the testing directive out...

    Included in this build:

    * Various Grusk improvements; fixed stuck spot, added steam sounds, terrain changes, added a carpentry merchant with custom conversation dialogue, fixed typos in journal entries,

    * Added a note in the Store User Interface (UI) suggesting to purchase Episode 2 if the player doesn't already have it. (as suggested by @Anpu)

    * Players should no longer hear a heartbeat sound as the scene is loading (this was a somewhat random occurrence)

    * Players should no longer hear "Shroud!" then loading into the Arx Draconis POT. (Note: The dragon statue in the square will still play the sound when clicked)

    * Players should no longer hear Electrical sounds when loading into a scene (Grusk for example) where Moon Towers are present

    * Failed attempt to fix the issue where the Spider Room Blueprints are not dropping. Worked with Devilcult to develop an action plan. I will be purging the table completely and rebuilding, then if issue continues, I will be flushing the server loot and recipe cache (all this on QA, so no impact to live play)

    * Started adding "Dungeon Map Cards": As stated in the past, we will not be making in game maps for dungeons until such a time as tech to support fog of war exists. So all of the Dungeons will have a fun little "placeholder" instead. Note Known Issue: Some of the cards may be rotated. This will be fixed in the next QA build.

    ...and more! (There will most time be additional things in QA builds that either are not ready for player testing, or are secret!


    I am targeting another QA build for tomorrow evening. (the build take about 5-7 hours, so it should be published around 8pm (or earlier if I get up early :D)

    * Fixed issue with young snow tigers spawning incorrectly [SOTA-70227]
    * Updated Castle Teleporter to act as other POT Teleporters (allow player to choose destination instead of dedicated to Castle Atos) [SOTA-70351]

    * When someone is set PvP or is in a PvP scene and go AFK they will get disconnected after being AFK for 20 minutes (or 10 minutes after the flag is set). Increased AFK flag time by 5 minute.
    * Crafted iron lamp should light properly when being close. [SOTA-68763]
    * Sawtooth Thicket: Moved a floating axe to a nearby stump. [SOTA-70362]

    * Path of Truth: Updated logic for "Travel to Blood River" and "Explore Artifice" to help them automatically archive when required. [SOTA-70360]
    * Arabella: Added a "bonesteel" response that will remove an artifact from players who shouldn't yet have it.
    * Player will now be able to see other player again on elevator/platform [SOTA-69027]
    * Avatar won't appear crouched when getting out of elevator/platform [SOTA-70341]
    * Outskirts: Crafting merchants in all 3 outskirts each now sell one type of board recipe. [SOTA-70354]
    * Added a /translate command you can use in the chat. This will translate the last line in the chat to the current language set in game option or you can specify it at the end with the language like '/translate en'.

    * Solace Bridge Outskirts: For quest reasons, players cannot skip the conversation with the alchemist. [SOTA-69948]
    * Grusk: The Storehouse Container shelter now has a unique set of turn-ins. The common items are Metal Scrap, Small Ball of Clay, Animal Hide, and Animal Bone. The uncommon item is Crocodile Head. [SOTA-70206]
    * Big Cats now have proper animations in for Charge Attacks [SOTA-70346]
    * Added a Lua Add-On(s) Manager which can be found in the Window Selection menu in game.
    * Added 2 new Lua functions:
       ShroudOnExperienceChanged() which return the amount of experience added in pool and the type, adventurer or producer.
       ShroudOnDisableScript() which is a convenience method for Lua scripter to clean up their script when a player disable it in the manager.
       More details are in the Lua section of the Player Created Resources forum and in the SotA Lua API document.

    * Item name color in tooltip will now match color seen in inventory instead of all being mostly blue.
    * Reduced the resize of height of teleport scroll a bit so it can fit in everyone's screen.
    * Added a scrollbar in the description part of the crown store window to prevent icons and pattern in some case to overlap with the text. Text will be more visible as it won't shrink anymore.
    * Fix for acara armor not applying the air damage
    * Fix for acara armor attunement effect not applying properly
    * Players can now use /time to display their local (real life) date/time, server date/time and New Brittania date/time info as well, in the chat window. [SOTA-70427]
    * Fixed dungeon room and navmesh. (Hilt Rotunda, Hilt Spider room, The Rise Dog room, and The Rise Library)
       [This should completely solve the Spawn and pet movement issues in these rooms. We will continue to sweep through and rebuild the rest of the rooms as well]
