Posting here because this thread was in a release feedback forum and so got archived. Would be better if it could be moved since there are two pages of replies already.
    https://www.shroudoftheavatar.com/f...-biggest-request-big-houses-with-rooms.14172/

    Greetings,

This is my biggest request because having a house I like is fundamental and central. It is why I am making money, gathering, resources and crafting things.

I want elegant keep-like stone houses *and* I want many rooms. All the houses that are the style I want have no separate rooms, no walls and doors. The houses that have many room are small and wooden. I want both in one. Hallways with rooms.

Please, please, please add version of the open space houses with rooms.

I want to decorate different rooms in different styles, and dedicate different rooms to different things. And I want to let friends or players without a house have a room.

Right now, I am on a town plot but using a row house because town houses do not have rooms like the row ones.

    Thanks

Not sure it would solve your problem, but a five-storey basement effectively adds 5 rooms to whatever house you have.

I fully agree with OP. Open plan is nice for some situations but I'd like the option to place a house with a lot of rooms. My potential plans would work better if I can have several rooms rather than one giant open plan area.

Me I'd like to be able to buy/craft dividers with the textures in the game.
Stone, plaster, wood. Then have dividers with doors (and secret doors).
That way you can divide larger rooms into smaller ones as you please.
You can also create your own challenge dungeons etc.

You know what I would love - but I'm certain they can't add it (because of the tech involved?) - the ability to have multiple basements. Like an arena basement with a mine basement underneath it. Just a pie in the sky wish as I try to figure out which one I will go with....

You know, you can craft a wooden "wall." I played around with that in the last release and discovered that it was great for dividing up those large spaces. It's true that the wall won't go all the way up to the ceiling, but it does still look like a real, solid wall. You should experiment with that during this next release if you can.

Well, you know how it is at some establishments.... You might be better off with more of a hostel set up!

    Fixed it.

But agreed that there are few houses that would work as ann inn/guesthouse.
Me I'm looking at the "Wood & Plaster, 3-story, 6 room, village home" as the only one coming even close.
It's got more rooms than any of the bigger houses, problem is the layout, since 3 of those "rooms" seems to be without doors.:(

Knight home has several little side rooms, I think 5 total.

It would be easy to add if they just sold a "larger" basement with a higher cost and you bought what ever configuration you wanted .

I don't even see why that would be necessary - if you buy an arena basement for, say, a Village lot, and then you *also* bought a mine basement, you have already paid for both basements.

Now, there might well be a coding reason why they could not do this. They've said that they can get away with the basements because it's in another space - but maybe you cannot code an 'entry point' (for the hatch to a second basement) in that 'other space'? I know just enough about programming to get me in trouble, so I never assume I am correct when I speculate about 'programming things,' lol. I'll let the experts answer that one! But if I had to guess, that would be my guess on it.

I think the reason is simpler than that if one could stack basements there is less incentive to get lots. Less incentive to get lots equal less pledges and Add-On store purchases, as well as a depreciation of value of lots.
None of which would be beneficial to the game.

That's why I thought it would be easy if it was pre fab and didn't require coding to allow us to build them ourselves. and Later on perhaps it could be changed to a more user customizable.

I think it's time to develop some guild halls. A guild hall should have open halls and rooms available for guild members who are out adventuring and not wanting to go home just yet. a meeting place that is also a home.

If it was easy then it wouldn't of taken so many releases to get them in. It is directly below your lot so having 2 they would be in the same space. Unless they code in basement stacking

5 story stone basement is exactly what you described. You can even rent the rooms with a built in GUI to control your tenants. So not only has your request been granted you can mKe money renting out rooms. If you want a keep then buy a keep I did and I am very happy.
