This place is awesome. I feel like in the Underdark from D&D with stalagmites and different kind of fungus etc.

    Good work !

Can we expect to see Elite Kobold or The Kobold king ?

This place is perfect for kobold fight club :D

I agree with it being awesome. That is exactly as I imagined a Kobald Cavern looking like. Can't wait for the residents to all move in. :)

Yes, Korabar, the King of the Kobolds, along with various other kobold civilians, will be making appearances shortly. They will be non-combat NPCs and story-centric.

It reminds me of the City of Ember, if anyone has seen that movie.

(Hey @Budner, Bill Murray is in it!)

I'm still very curious in general about kobold culture.

    - Are there female kobolds, and will they look different?
    - Will we see kobold children and newly hatched younglings?
    - Will we see aging kobolds? What are their lifespans?
    - The technology to build automatons at some point came from kobolds, and the throne room has an clockwork man and a clockwork dog. Why do they create automatons based on how humans look? Did they ever create clockwork kobolds?
    - Is it common for them to have pets, even just clockwork pets? Do they like the company of the same pets that humans like, ie dogs and cats, or their clockwork versions? Why not cave wrasse as pets?
    - What role do kobold mages have in the society, when everything is done through technology?
    - Why do they live underground? Are their eyes adjusted to the dark; do their eggs hatch their better or safer?

Note that much of this will be explorable via Kobold civilian NPCs in Skrekk in R29.

Yes but they are kept hidden from humans because they view humans as genocidal weirdos and females/children are the future of kobolds. Kobold females also serve in the military (they are reptilian and do not have human sexual dimorphism) but this is rarer. Kobold society is egalitarian but also very survival-oriented.

Kobolds live longer than humans but not much longer. Their aging is not physically obvious.

Some kobolds think humans are amusing in the same sort of way you think pets are amusing, so they make toys for them much the way we make toys to keep pets amused and happy. Kobold automation for kobolds is chiefly functional and involves energy production and maintenance.

Some kobold nobles keep small animals as pets as luxury/a sign of status, but they are imported from the surface. Underworld creatures are seen as pests not pets.

Utility in combat. Magic is one of the few ways humans have superior knowledge to kobolds. Kobold mages are not seen as particularly prestigious.

Kobolds predate the Fall. They have adapted to their surroundings since. If you talk to some Kobolds (including the guards who are in this release) you'll find

Skrekk was essentially built as a bomb shelter.

I hope we can trade with Kobold - that would be pretty awesome.
