    Hello,
    My PC Laptop:
Is slow and choppy in game,
I tried to adjust it in the past,
    of the settings,
    and it would work 65%,
I had a PC Black Desktop it was working very fast,
probably because of the processor speed.

    Here is my specs:
    DxDiagnostics:

OS: Windows 11 Home 64- Bit:
    Language: English,
    System Manufacturer: HP
    Processor: AMD Ryzen 5 5500 U Radeon Graphics, (12 CPUs) ~2.1GHz:
    Memory: 12288 RAM:
    Direct X12,
Chip Type: AMD Radeon Graphics Processor (0x 1 64C)
    DAC Type: Internal DAC (400Hz)

6295 MB of Total Memory :
    Memory (VRAM) 495 MB
    Shared memory: 5799 MB

    Please, fix it.

I think the main problem there is with the amount of RAM.

My recomendation if you have not tried it is turning off Shaddow distance as this is the item that causes most mid entry pc / laptops problems. the other thing is to set the video quility setting to fastest as this setting is the lowest load on your pc / laptop.

The first question to ask would be WHERE in game you laptop becomes slow and choppy. If only in certain crowded areas with lots of dekoration - that is normal. If you are in larger towns with lots of moving environment, flying wyverns or dragon, moving windmills, walking NPC´s, neon lights and a dozen player vendors then the performance of any but the high end will suffer.

If your laptop lags even when you´re along in a desert encounter with a lonely sheep looking then it´s more problematic.

"Shared Memory": That means that your video card does not have the full amount of RAM it advertises, but uses a part of your normal system RAM, reducing it even further from the 12 GB you have installed.

Do you have any other programs running in the background while playing SotA? e.g. did you disable the Windows indexing service?
    Explantion how to here:
    https://techcult.com/how-to-disable-search-indexing-in-windows-11/
The Windows Indexing Service keeps notes of most files on your PC so that, when you search for a file, you will find it faster. However it does so by running in the background and occasionally slowing down the system. If you disable it then it will stop slowing your system down, but if you search something using the search of Windows it will take a bit longer.

If that does not suffice then you might try to tone down some of the graphics settings of SotA in the options menu, e.g.
check the box of "disable weather on low performance", and if that is not enough go down the video quality from Best to very good or even another step, depending how your laptop reacts.

    User Specs:
    OS: Windows 10 (10.0.0) 64bit
CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 5600G with Radeon Graphics (12) System RAM: 15742
GPU: AMD Radeon(TM) Graphics GPU RAM: 4430

Simply put, 12Gb ram are enough.
The issue here is obviously the integrated GPU

He does not have 12 GB available if the GPU uses 6 GB of the RAM as shared RAM. Then only around 4 are left for the game with 1-2 for the OS.

This is exactly why the integrated is the issue, and also even with 64 wont change 1 fps.
So the ram is not the issue, and raising it wont change nothing

@Gia2 and @ConjurerDragon both have this correct.

12GB of OS RAM is the minimum anyone should be running to play the game without major issues.

In addition, the game requires a dedicated (Discrete) GPU. Integrated GPUs currently do not have the resilience to render a 3D game at acceptable FPS

The key here is that the GPU is using shared memory, and therefore can only access that RAM when it is not already reserved for a loaded application. This will limit the amount of RAM the GPU can use, but also reduces the total sum of RAM available for applications.

If we assume that the GPU was able to grab the 6GB RAM from the OS, then the game will not have enough RAM to properly function.

On a related note, why do we have a 32 bit client?

All of the clients are 64 bit. (Linux is still shipped with 32 and 64, though that will change either with Unity 2021 or sooner)

Possibly R110, but more reasonable to assume R111 or 112. (all depends on when we get the Migration Development Build machine working - This, hopefully will be completed by the time R109 is released)
