SotA Map / SotA Navigator

SotA Navigator is a supplement to ingame radar map. You could call it a kind of GPS for Shroud of the Avatar. You can download it from this site.

Application currently supports over 250 scenes, including NPC towns, adventure scenes and some of POT's. SotA Navigator overlays game window, So you can use it on one monitor (game has to be run in window mode). I also implemented an automatic scene detection mechanism.

MINIMAL REQUIRMENTS: IE 11 or newer installed, Windows 7 or Windows 10

Can this application be used to track other players or does it only track who is signed into the SOTA account? Could it be modified to track other players?

 

I need to think about it I fact It should be easy if I will implement feature as below.

Yeah. It's on my short list, but for next two weeks my priority is to support scenes like below, plus all POTs. Then I will try to implement something like friends list with possibility to share avatar position among friends.

Jakub, I'm an avid user of your Sotamap for recording resources and notes. Will it ever be possible to see one's personal map notes and icons on the minimap?

 

+1 that question was buggering me all night yesterday since i read this thread ...

 

It is possible even now. You have to be logged in. But there is also a bug, which log you out when scene map is changed or you close the map and reopen it. I will try to fix ASAP.

 

Map works great and so useful to have it easily visible. Tracker still needs a bit of work at least on the over world map it kept bouncing my red dot to different locations that I was not very close. Great work I look forward to it's improvements.

 

Lets please not make this work for friends or other players. With everyone going nuts with the pvp 25%. If they find out they can be tracked LOL. Hell will break loose.

I am aware of this. That is why I would have to introduce some kind of confirmation mechanism (i.e. friend list).

I slept with it, and I also think that the best solution would be when developers would provide coordinates for all players in party in XML file. In such solution you would be able to see only your party member positions, and it would be easiest for me to implement and safest for users (all data would be used locally, on user computer) @Chris

So don't worry @Duke William of Serenite , I will not do anything hasty in this topic, for sure.

 

Really love it so far! If you can make it flip the map like Google Maps when depending on what direction you're walking that would be amazing!

Lastly not really the program as much as SotA Maps but I want to claim my own lot but I don't see a way to claim my own lot unless I actually own an entire map (which I don't).

Keep up the amazing work I plan on telling everyone about this great tool!

 

Been a BIG Fan of @Jakub White and SOTA Map forever! Well since the beginning at least
As well we have been playing with navigator since it's release and LOVE IT!

We had him on the show the past 2 days and we were talking about being able to see party member on the map

Only POT owner can edit POT map. For PRT/NPC Town you can edit lot name, lot status and lot owner if you are logged in:

1. Login
2. Turn on edit mode (upper right corner, on search bar)
3. select lot
4. Edit values
5. click on save button

 

When I try to edit my lot it says "As registered user, without speciall permissions to edit this map. You have permissions only to insert yours POT only. " Unrelated there are a couple typos in this message

 

So, you are trying to edit lot located in POT. Only POT owner can do that. Read more about editing restrictions.
If you are a POT owner, let me know. I will give you permissions to edit your town.
