    Hello fellow avatars,

All maps of NPC Town that exist in game (R31) are avaliable on SotaMap.com now. You can open a town map clicking on town icon and then on "location map".

Here is a list of NPC towns:
Here is a list of player run towns:
Here is a list of all non POTs:

    Greetings,

There are some major POTS that would also benefit from something like this. Even some of the smaller ones could be interested. The only problem is when those POT layouts will be really finalized.

The tool, which I mentioned, will be available to POT owners. They will be able to create and edit their own cities maps. I've already implemented five templates: forrest, swamps, island, snowly mountains and underground. When developers will add a new template, I will do that too :)

Wow looks pretty cool! Yeah having a map tool that anyone can use would be amazing and then just a catalog of all the created maps. Great job!

This is absolutely awesome, great job! I do have 2 questions / ideas for you though.

    1. Would you consider allowing people with player run establishments (Vendor houses, taverns, etc) submit their stores to be added to these maps if they were within one of the npc towns?
    2. If doing so, would you consider making a banner or something that people could toggle on/off that would scroll through advertisements for such places?

    Respectfully,
    Beachin

It's a great idea. I need to think how to implement it (it's not so simple as it looks like).

Believe me I do understand & if you want shoot me a pm, design/appearance wise I have a couple ideas that may or may not help. If I can next day or two I'll try to do a mockup of what I'm thinking & either pm it too you or post it here, whatever you'd like.

Unfortunately, my computer died and I lost all the data . At the moment the computer is in service, I hope to recover data and restore my computer to working condition. Because of this, next updates will be delayed.

The computer died while I was in the process of creating map of Solania (So, you can look at this map but I worn you, that map is unfinished).

Other upgrades that I was able to implement before the disaster:
    • New popup template : SotaWiki link , Location Map , Available Plots , External links
    • Layers Control
    • Soltown map - resized to correct scale
    • Rotated Markers (POI icons)
    • Paladis Shardfall - New Addition
    • Bridge near Brittany - New Addition
    • Lot deeds popup template:Lot size, Lot owner, Lot status
PS. Solania map was created using the online map editor . So, it works finally :) After improvement dozens of errors , since the creation of Soltown map, I can say that the tool is usable now :)

Is this the place to add comments / suggestions for SotAMap.com ? I'd rather make public suggestions than private ones.

@Jakub White, great work on SotAMap.com. My suggestions are for your consideration.

We've been doing a lot with the PaxLair map here.

The Lot Index is great! Some suggestions:
    • Add vertical scroll bar (I know thumb wheel also works)
    • Allow columns to be sortable alphabetically. Looks like default is a sort order on the Size (Castle, Keep, City, Town, Village, Row) which is nice and maybe that column would always sort to that sequence (not alphabetically)
    • Reduce padding-top/bottom in each row by 50%. Personally, I like more data, less white space.
    Point of Interest markers
    • Is there/will there be a list, like the Lot Index, for POIs? Name, Category, SubCategory, PVP flag as columns and sortable?
    • I'm starting to experiment with using the map as an information center. The SotAWiki link and External Link will really come in handy.
      • @Sean Silverfoot - I imagine we would use the future PaxLair web site location for the External Link -- for example, I made a POI for History Hall - then, I want to link it to an online information page (not SotAWiki, but it could be SotAWiki I guess in the Community: namespace).

Thanks for adding more font sizes to labels. That really helps make our neighborhoods stand out.
    • Since PaxLair will go through a Settler period, I was able to label some areas for period 1, 2, etc. that we plan to do after Final Wipe. The online map will then be synced with the in-game assets/buildings.
    Great work and thanks!

    @Winfield

    • Add vertical scroll bar (I know thumb wheel also works) - Added.
    • Allow columns to be sortable alphabetically. Looks like default is a sort order on the Size (Castle, Keep, City, Town, Village, Row) which is nice and maybe that column would always sort to that sequence (not alphabetically) - Columns are sortable now. Just click on column name.
    • Reduce padding-top/bottom in each row by 50%. Personally, I like more data, less white space. - Each row is much narrower now
    Point of Interest markers:
    • Is there/will there be a list, like the Lot Index, for POIs? Name, Category, SubCategory, PVP flag as columns and sortable? - It is now. Open Index as before and choose correct tab.
    Great suggestions. Thanks.

    Awesome work!
I really like that you gave each lot a unique address. Can we have the URL for that lot in the popup like it is in the lot list? This will help with sharing the info with guildmates.
