Sprint ability should be available for Non-combat hotbar

    I have the opinion that the Sprint ability should be able to be locked into the non-combat bar.

    But, at the same time, I know that it would have no cooldown out of combat if that happens.

    Agreed, but for balancing they might cost focus x4 if cast from the hotbar?

    it costs 2x focus which is good enough for me.

    agreed, kinda silly to have to enter combat mode just so you can run faster .....

    um if oyu are not in combat does it realy matter if you run faster? Really NOPE. sorry. BUt also along those lone sure put it in non combat bar - it is irrelevant, BUT give it 15 second start cool down before you can run away, otherwise it will be abused to escape a fight you are losing.

    There should be alot of things not on the combat bar, including the heals and dispell effects skill. I think the draw to alchemy will also be negatively affected by having to place consumables in a skill bar already filled with skills. But that's a whole other story

    Forgive me for being naive but. . .isn't sprinting just a matter of double-tapping and holding the move forward key? I sprint around all the time in combat mode and in non-combat mode. Is there some other sprint skill ability I don't know about?

    You can dbl tap > hold "w" to sprint...

    Sprint is also a Glyph in the Light armor tree. There is also Dash in the Air tree and so on.

    I don't see a "sprint" skill in the link you provided, could "dash" under Air magic have been changed to Sprint? I believe the original intent of the skill was to provide temporary speed boost, to catch up or get away from your opponent... So, what is the OPer looking for?

    Once we get flying mounts, though, the sprint out of combat will be unnecessary.

    Engaging a target quicker, positioning, quicker travel/navigation
    Currently you have to menacingly draw a weapon as if your preparign for battle, jsut to take advantage of the skill for non-combat reasons.

    Double-tap sprint has a greater effect under the influence of the glyph Sprint and Dash

    there is a Sprint ability under light armor that provides a 20% speed boost for a limited time.
    Similar to dash under the Air school, but lasts longer, and i THINK is either greater or lesser than 20%, cant recall.

    I Agree with EMPstrike. Skill-based sprint glyphs should be available on the non-combat hot-bar. Moving about faster is an advantage that lightly armored characters should enjoy. Submitted a ticket to address this.
