Awesome find! I haven't researched Phoenixes personally other than hurricane Joaquin Phoenix.

500 years. So that's where the 1000 year thing came from. Interesting about their egg. Phoenixes are more akin to fire elementals than actual birds, as has been mentioned. Now I have to find or make a the u7si Phoenix egg GIF.

Finding that Phoenix egg in that molten lava magma cave was a memorable immersive experience.

Myrrh is a golden color, that's why it makes sense, also it would look kind of like that amber egg I guess.

A lot of other accounts of Herodotus in books, one thing that one account I snipped didn't mention is the egg is supposed to be the same weight as before. So its a cycle, where the sired phoenix buries his dead father in an egg, and the father is reborn as its son.

<-- Also that mentions a couple of other legends. One involving a worm coming from the phoenix's body.

    Or sun elementals? ;)

They need some sun school attacks, like Sunburst and Solar Flare or something.

Maybe a fossilized egg. Myrrh is a resin similar to amber, once crystalized amber is considered a precious stone. So The phoenix on its way to the sun was killed and dropped its father which had been coated in myrrh. The dropped "egg" is lost for centuries and becomes crystalized. A rare gem sort of like that amber image shown.

My concern is with the time spent camping for these "rare" items. Just as there should be no overpowered items available for sale in the add-on store or via pledges, there should absolutely be no overpowered items requiring endless camping and/or grinding.

Rare is nice, obscene grinding or camping for said rare items is not only unhealthy but also not fun.

We don't need special snowflakes created because they can camp 20 hours a day for six months.
