The quest is confusing

Ok so I'm in Highvale outskirts, delivered supplies, killed some frost geists, met all the echos,saw the frost mirrors and now I'm standing in front of Esmeralda and this is my quest point but shes not saying anything about the quest! what the hell!

First quest in this game I enjoyed doing and now I'm at a standstill!!! grrr! (this is why I don't do quests in this game much!)

So you successfully finished the quests / steps 1-3, I.e got three essences then talked to four echoes and received the name of the servant + essence from the last echo?
If so, Esmeralda should tell you how to confront the Geistesser and then the next steps.

If you ask her about “Step 1/2/3” she normally tells you what you have to do to proceed.
I.e find all Echoes or confront the Geistesser...

 

I have been looking for days and still can't find the fourth echo.

That's why I listed the ones I had found. Someone PMed me enough of a hint to find the one I needed.

I got the essence. Now trying to find out how to get into the Two stones thing. Cant seem to do that.

 

How many of those obelisks are there....i have only found two. This and finding the girl's father are the two things i am stuck on.

 

There are four obelisks.

 

grrrr ok. Well i have found only two....i thought i found 3 but cant find the third one i saw. Everytime i try to turn them on they get turned off by someone else. Now to find the others....I found Earth and Death.

 

found this one.....but nothing triggers the journal about Hyla's father

 

You need to pick up the note that is on the ground and read it.

After this you see a violet beam, showing you, the Two Stone Crypt is open …

You have to switch them on in the right order, as told on the closed door of the Crypt.
Take care! If someone switches an obelisk off, while you are doing so, may be you have to do it again

Sure thing! So when you go back into that little canyon behind the elf camp you come across an echo and a tent with the girl's dead father inside. Right by his body, on the ground, inside the tent is the note! Hope that helps.

Found the note at the tent with the two hunters ...

 

It's actually a log cabin, not a tent - to avoid more confusion.

Also, to avoid even more confusion, and to basically repeat what Esmeralda tells you and what's in the journal:

To advance the quest to get to Courage Can Be Frigid: Player needs to find all FOUR ghostly echos. Once the player finds the forth echo, the player can speak to it (it doesn't matter what order players find the echo, it's scripted to allow speaking to the echo when the player finds the fourth). The echo gives the player an essence shard and tells the player to go back to speak to Esmeralda.

Part two of the quest line needs the player to unlock the THREE wall mounted mirrors in the mirror room. Once all three are unlocked and used by the player, player needs to go back and speak to Esmeralda.

Throughout the above two processes, Esmeralda and journal entries do say both are needed to be completed in order to unlock the large floor mirror which takes the player to the Geistesser's lair. If either of the two above parts of the quest are incomplete, Esmeralda will not advance the quest.

 

Because of this it is SO IMPORTANT TO DO THE QUESTS and give creative Feedback!
