    The background (BG_Tile_darker.png) isn't loaded in IE11, so text appears on the main background sometimes making text hard to read.

    But this is the dystopian future. The Obsidian Order has devolved into a few skulking creeps. The Norgard are reduced to near barbarian state. Ardoris is lost to concerns over some covert love affair. Brittany keep is …. abandoned. And naked Outlanders are running amok everywhere! How much more dystopian can it get?!

    :) :) :)

    I see it now, but when I made that original post, the Livestream stretch goal funds raised was not showing. It is now, so it's fixed.

    @tphilipp
    I'm using the adwaita-dark theme on gnome, so the default controls in Firefox have a dark background with white text. When I login, the username and password fields have a white background with white text. I suspect you're explicitly setting the control color to white but not setting the text color.

    I agree, the original website was meh, it was nice but felt very heavy. This is much more appealing to the eye. Kudo!

    Well, it's a compromise rather than a trend, I'd say. The web world is so crappy with all its browser incompatibilities, insane devices out there, weird ratios, "a pixel isn't a pixel"-hires-mobile issues, all kinds of different resolutions, needing to support at least a few years of browser version for compatibility reasons despite this field moving fast, performance issues and bloat...

    Responsiveness is a solution to some of the issues, especially the one you are describing, but then it turns into a time issue: it's simply tedious to adapt your style to plenty of different screens, especially the ones that come with drastic changes b/c they are super narrow or tiny, etc.. and all of this then needs to be maintained, breaks again on different new devices, etc..

    But back to trends - I hear you - I personally am tired of the current single-page-with-3-weird-columns-somewhere-with-wiggly-icons-at-top design. Also, I started to really get annoyed by the "made in x with (heart)" footer lines. :)

    Alright, the main mobile display issue should be fixed. One down. :)

    Still working on some other scaling issues on mobile.

    (please report device and OS version if there are still some that are broken - I tested on new and a somewhat older iOS Safari)

    this should also be fixed - in the same vein, also fixed some default-button style on Safari which rendered weirdly in the rounded corner default style

    Thanks for letting me know that it works well - I do have resize issues on Safari/iOS, so still picking at that ... :-/

    This is "fixed" as in: not sure why the image doesn't/didn't load, maybe it's just a fluke, however I set a background color additionally now. So text will be readable in any case. Also, it'll not start out with white and burn one's eyes out for a second in the middle of the night. :D

    Interesting - that's the very latest, so they seem to have some performance issue with some new layout helpers I'm using. Grr....

    Looks nice, although I prefer black text on light background colour schemes - find it less of a strain to read. Would be nice if you could select a colour scheme (ditto for forums)

    For me it's quite the opposite, but yeah, totally subjective. Someone in this thread mentioned working on a CSS override, to have a light page again, so maybe that could be shared, eventually.
