This is a first for me

I fell down between two walls. Landed in a firey pit. Can't find a way out. /stuck won't work because I'm actively on fire and it keeps getting interrupted. Can't die because I'm healing as fast as I'm burning. Um...help? lol

Edited to add: recall gets interrupted, too.

 

Try logging and then start on world map

and of course you can't teleport out either cause you're taking damage.. Sounds like you'll have to log out and come back on the map.

Isn't the "start on the map" option going away, tho? what would my choice have been then, I wonder. Live in a fire pit forever? Blah.

In most places like that I've seen a stair or ladder. Might want to drop a line in the bug forum.

 

I once had something like this happen to me in Everquest. Only I did die, and it to a huge effort from my guild to recover my body. I was level 50 and thought I lost all my gear, took us about 2 hours to get the corpse. Took a combination of sow and levitate. What fun times

I didn't think to use the bug option to record where I was, so I'm not sure reporting it will do them any good.

In last release the character one of my accounts found himself on the overworld map (even if not selected at login) and was wading through the the hellfire rift without a way to climb out and pass the invisible walls. Zone still worked, however, as the only way of escape - and he took no damage.

you need a guide to get out of the purgatory. And...whatever you do, dont get farther down.

 

In some games I always carry a suicide grenade for just such occasions.

 

And that... is why "Start On The World Map" needs to stay in this game, for at least another year.

 

Did you try combat mode so that you don't heal so fast?

 

As far as I know, their not getting rid of "start on map", but if you run to an edge and press "space bar" and hold it a couple of seconds, release and move forward, you would do a high jump to get out.. I die every time I'm in Lava, so they must have lowered the Burning effect...
