We have plenty of metal shield recipes - where's the recipe for wood shields?

Maybe 3 wooden boards and a metal binding, gaining buffs from the wood and metal they're made out of?

Should I put 'em in one post, or should they stand/die on their own? I was leaning to the latter - I'm sure different people will feel differently about this & that, so was hoping to keep 'em seperate - but will freely admit I'm pretty new to this community. If pulling lots of different bits together is the way, I will do so.

 

I thought it odd they didnt offer a wood shield for crafting. I personally like the wooden shields more than metal ones.
As for bindings...i would go with wood or metal....straps can be leather or cloth. Since all these components have different attributes it would change/enhance the buffs on the shield.
So would be interesting....Could have a plain shield or one with studs/spikes.

Yeah, metal or wood bindings would work, I was assuming metal from the metal center boss on the shield images in game. If we could get a pure wood shield with wood binding, I'd definitely think that'd be of interest to some (red pine and pine, perhaps?)

 

I miss the progressive method of gaining crafting levels as were in UO. I made so many wooden shields in that game I wouldn't be surprised is some were still around.
