Wells in Basements

Can we PLEASE have wells in homes and/or basements?

I know it is a little sketchy, but is any less silly than growing in basements? The truth is that most people that have houses and all the people that have row houses cannot place a well. Hence, this is not an unreasonable request.

 

Well, you dig down to find water, so having a small well or water pump in a basement doesn't seem at all unreasonable to me

 

If wells can be placed in basements, I bet there will be a surge on both add-on store and in-game crafting purchases of wells. It's a win win.

 

Considering the number of row houses in the game - that's a sure bet

That makes sense Lained. I am glad they are not going the way of basement hatches which can be placed on roofs.

This change should have a priority on the schedule because (1) it is an R35 feature and (2) it affects more people that are actually playing the game.

 

For now, use a fountain.

 

Here's another idea to fix the issue that currently allow well to be placed on the tip floor of the basement. can we get something similar to the fireplace vent except it goes the opposite way, so it looks like the basement is built around the well?

 

Are there any fountains that fit in a Row basement? I know the large one won't.

But in response to that answer there are basements on boats? Airships, top floors. Are they going to come out and fix all those when this data pass goes through? Might as well let the wells in rows until then since there is already impossible not bottom floor items that need fixed. And just fix them all later after the data pass.

 

I haven't seen a crafting recipe for it. Where do you get it? (Thanks!)

Ah. I try to avoid buying things with real money that provide a gameplay mechanic. Feels cheatery to me.

 

Turns out, the one that I've seen isn't craftable. It's the Isabelline Stone 2-Tier Outdoor Fountain from the Add-on Store. My neighbor has two, so while I see them all the time I never actually stopped to look at the name.

 

Does the crafted water well not fit?

 

The crafted water well would fit, but it is tagged as an 'outdoor' item only, so it will not place in the basement. They are considering changing this in the future as they have time.

 

I don't think that's true. I've seen these in people's basements.
