Seems pretty unprofessional of a company I've given nearly $300 to keep [removed by Berek] with my profile picture.

You need to be over the $300.00 mark for avatars to stick but alas you need another $ 100,000.00 for the potty mouth ;)

@stidesx The way the forum software works, it simply uploads the filename you specify rather than storing it with your profile. So if you use a common filename, it can get replaced. Try changing the filename to something random, then re-upload it. That should fix it.

Ahh I love logical answers. Really it should hash the file names as you upload them, but I'm not shocked it doesn't.

A logical demand. Here is the developer of the software: Forum software by XenForo
Sure he will be happy to change that ... btw: doesn't belong to Portalarium.

We haven't adjusted your avatar profile at all. Did you need something though?

This should be filed as a forum bug.

For some reason the thought of the Portalarium team pranking people's forum avatars totally gives me the giggles.

Now I so want that to be a thing @Berek

I was guilty of forum shenanigans once. On the Obsidian forums, I made new sock-puppet accounts that appeared to have the exact same name, avatar, signature, etc. of several posters there at once. I was logged on concurrently with like 10 accounts and all posting in one thread. It was actually trivial to accomplish though no one could figure it out. I did it as a joke but the mods didn't like it, so I didn't do it again.

I loved that community and those forums, but then there was a guy who was posting a bunch of racist rhetoric (Jews, Americans and whites are all evil and need to die). I reported the racist posts to which a moderator said none of those count as races and I was wrong to be offended by posts that groups of people need to die. I was banned for reporting racism. I contacted some of the Obsidian devs who said they'd investigate the thread, but they never did. The moderator and racist posts remained, and I left the community permanently over it.

But here is the one time I played forum shenanigans and magically pulled off a bunch of cloned sock puppet accounts with the same names as other accounts.

It magically reverted once I made the op. So nothing further needed. I was totally aware that Portalarium isn't the forum sw dev. Most forum software is a wretched buggy mess, and pretty out of date to current standards. Ah well.

Back in the day you could pay to change other peoples avatar on some forums I belonged to. It was a nice revenue stream, actually.
