I've never seen that. Maybe the post is under review at the time?

    Lol, thats a good one.

I was always find it baffling this idea that negative posts are overtly modded, does nayone remember the whole map thing, a new post every 10 minutes about how terrible it was. I'm happy with how Portalarium accept criticism, pretty sure its one of the better community led forums I've been a part of.

Funny. I remember that thread any how many times it had to be locked, and had other threads, plural, merged with it.

Because you don't see something doesn't mean it does not exist, kind of like God for some, or gamma rays for everyone.

    cheers

It is terribly annoying to see so many walls of pictures, and it's hard to sift out what the person is saying.

On the other hand, moderating a post due to pictures? I'm not sure how that could be done. If it's off topic, no problem. But if it's related to the topic, I'm not sure how that is moderation bait.

Sometimes, the walls of pictures seem to be so over-done as to be beating a person on the head with their view.

    Indeed Caliya,
If it's on topic or enhances the topic's atmosphere, then I say it's OK. But as you well point out, at times it can seem that it's bombarding a point.

For me, I don't mind trolls and I appreciate those with opposed view points staying in the threads, because those opposed posting members are what great ideas can be bounced off of! Some threads and people's ideas would become lost now in a sea of other threads and not have their more proper attention from out newer viewing and posting members. Yet also, without those opposing viewpoints, then bad ideas can seem as a wave of approval by the full canon of our membership.

Tolerance for those that want the game and bring their ideas and opinions...
Ban to those that come here "only to oppose the game in total disapproval of EVERYTHING" because industrial sabotage is not only done by companies, but is also some people's joy just to disrupt for their own individual behavioral desires.... and don't even play the game, because they never owned the game, and will never own or play the game anyway.

But opposing viewpoints welcomed, welcomed indeed!

I have only been moderated once on here, though I only have about 60 posts. I followed Fire Lotus' advice and haven't been moderated again. Perhaps we should think about changing our ways before we criticize our devs (two way street people).

For the record, I've never been moderated. I've said mannnyy critical things about Portalarium as a company. The reason I've not been moderated is because I always try to frame my criticisms as reasonable and constructive, or, failing that, I make a strong effort to be considerate to all individuals involved. As many others have said in this thread, it really isn't about what you say--rather it's how you say it. Being levelheaded about things in general will take you far in life, and, of course, the mods deserve props for being so levelheaded themselves. :)

Somebody played Darkfall Forum? Well its really not a game at all. It is the pest which is able to infect a bunch of people if not the bulk of the community. Words are mighty and even mods can take things down the wrong pipe and do wrong words and action, knowing how it can end up and make things...worse and less constructive. I think its all about words and condition of both sides

Yes, very true. Also, I believe a great deal of the folks posting on this forum are legally adults and I hope that they could conduct themselves as levelheaded, clearthinking grown-ups. We should leave all the anger for X-Box Live.

Let's not overestimate adulthood. Being an adult does not equate to being mature, and even the idea of "maturity" is ambiguous to the point of irrelevance. Being mature does not necessarily mean being responsible, considerate, friendly, courteous, honest, kind, and so on. By these standards, I'd have to say the average maturity level of most children I know far exceeds the average of most adults I know. :p

Thank you, Crossbowsoda. That made my morning better. :)
If I could 'like' more than once, I'd still be hitting the button.
