It looks like everybody, including the NPCs, in Ardoris has the zombie plague. I can cure myself with the Purify spell, but it doesn't work on others if I target them. The Purify Burst AOE spell also doesn't work on others. What is the Purify Burst spell good for then?

EDIT: Even the Oracle has the plague!

Invite them to party and let them unflag from PvP (or flag yourself)

I have been curing people by using GM commands to kill/resurrect. It is by design that purify and other cure spells only work on those in your own group. Obviously disease works on people not in your group but that was never intended to make its way to towns! Some clever players just figured out a way to carry it across zone lines and are having "fun" with it...

The plague seems to be everywhere now. It feels like it's really lagging up the game for me but I'm not sure.

Actually it is much more realistic when the plague is carried into the towns. We just need a means to cure people :)

I agree with Kara Brae. we need to have some of the world and environment affect our characters. That is exactly one of my wishes for this game except we need to show a little more sickness be nauseous or have comments like feeling weak.

Plague sweeping through towns could be interesting true, although the cure is too easy to allow it to be *too* interesting. Also NPC's would need to have some other effect that just standing around showing off that they had plague, might be something to look at for future events or such? It *would* be interesting if there was a way for plagues and such to spread and reduce town fucntionality until "cured" if cures were not so easy. Anyway just something to think about, maybe take advantage of for interesting events that players could interact with, or fail to do so, with potentially interesting consquences in the game world.

I see why curing should be limited to your party in PVP areas or when flagged.

But while unflagged? Or AOE cures?

I guess that even if AOE cures worked on NPCs, it would take a lot of effort for MANY players to cure an entire town...

Seconded. I can understand not allowing me to heal PvPers (though if that is the case, they should not be allowed to spread the infection on nonflagged people). However if someone can infect me, I should be able to heal them. I just do not see the reason not allowing me to heal nonparty people. Especially in PvP healing others should be natural, because they consented to interaction with other players, and why I can attack them but not heal them? I disagree with the healing being limited to party (which is limited to 8 members only), when spreading the disease si not.

I thought this may happen also, it was funny hearing people talk on V/C about it, giving each other regular updates, first it started in Ardoris then spread to Owls Head and before long it was a full blown epidemic!

It may have been a bug but entertaining none the less ;)
