You can buy things from players rather than gather if you want :)

Exactly! Which is what people that don't like pvp can do if they don't want to go into pvp zones themselves. It would be EQUAL.

Except there are no PvP zones in single player. Would you prevent offline players from entering shardfalls as well?

All of which is moot as the devs will never lock people out of content because of their play style. I can pretty much guarantee that that is not negotiable.

Right, so don't do it. Hire someone else to do it for you.

So this is really a post that you don't feel like your getting enough given to you? Really?

Easy mode, what is with that arguement being used? It's not easy mode if it doesn't offer the same level of rewards etc as the PVP mode...it's counter to what envy has been saying as well in how they took over the zone....seems easy mode for him. It is extremely ignorant to think that people don't want to take risks when they don't want to PVP...God, envy isn't taking any risks at all in PVP right now. I want hard monsters to fight I want to take risks in dungeons.

Grr, I have to end this debate with you now because I'm afraid It isn't getting anywhere and you have a skewed view of risk that I just don't believe we can see eye to eye on.

I would lock out anyone that doesn't accept pvp in a pvp area. It's designed for PVP. It's a very small part of the game. It's just like the arena in Ardoris. If you go into certain areas you have to accept pvp. If you go into the stands you don't and can't pvp.

Oh, I think PVP has it's own problems that need addressed - as I've stated in numerous threads. I agree completely, Envy isn't taking enough risks. But he's not in single player mode, that absolutely be less risk in the shardfall.

Why would I do that? I would lose revenue

No.. it's designed to be dangerous. You're ignoring the offline component here. If it were designed exclusively for PvP we wouldn't have those areas offline or in SPO, but we do and we're going to.

Zones have been made into PvP zones to cater to PvPers.. they were not created just FOR PvPers and then someone decided to let the rest of us in.

What about single player offline mode? Would we then not be able to enter those scenes?

Basically I would see this interesting area on the overland map and couldn't enter it to explore it? This would be really weird.

    Right, exactly...

Which is why you shouldn't get to go into through the SPO loop hole.

From a roleplaying perspective it's a very dangerous place. Far more dangerous than single player mode can duplicate.

BTW, I'd love to stop arguing this point. If someone has a dev quote that shows they intend to let SPO mode work in shardfalls I'd love to see it.

Well as this is a map location for the grand tour they can't take SPO mode off right now. It's a general grand tour, not a PVP tour.

I fought a dragon in dragon age, kicked the crap out of me....I guess in the logic you are using a few pvpers would be much more dangerous....

So... I should be forced to lose revenue or tailor my character to be a PvPer. Those are my two options? Gee thanks.

I'd be fine with them doing this in R15. But if testing is the goal of the tour guide, then I'd say do it again in R15 without the SPO option.

The way the combat system works, two players against one of equal level is infinitely more dangerous than anything in PVE.

I'm not knocking PVE, I'm stating a fact. The AI is just not good enough to compete with people yet.

Its pretty easy to create a tough monster, whats more difficult is creating a tough monster that players can also beat. I hear players are having a lot of trouble with ghosts at the moment.

No, you should realize that the warrior life is not for you, go down to your local tavern and hire a handful of bravos to do your dirty work for you. Then as a smart business woman, find ways to make your supply chain more efficient. This kind of thing is completely consistent with fantasy roleplaying as well as the player driven economy of SOTA.

What you should not do is pop into single player mode, kite a few bad AI mobs, rinse wash repeat until you have all the resources you need.
