Yes, feel free to advocate such, as is your right.

I will sit safely in FPO mode with what I suspect will be a great many other users, rendering OPO mode a desert bereft of only the hard-core users.

Honestly, either way works with me. :)

Yes, selling the few OPO players valuable goods and living high on the hog...sounds nice.

I recently read that this game is going to be very safe, it's not what I am looking for I am glad & happy for the people who don't like that stuff getting what they want
but the only real rush of equiping myself to the highest standard then going out in the world and risking my life is offered by survival games...RUST/DAYZ both in which
have sold a million fairly quickly..(Showing people want this type of game)...what I don't want is this game to be like every other game that caters to those kind of safe
players..literally there is hundreds of them if not all of them that do this..i want risk..i want a developer with balls to do something (I am not even a Pker I just like the thrill and adventure
it brings when I log on)

but anyways this game is going to be guilds vs guilds...and meh...already 41289213190-
21321321234342423324 games with that coming out.

Hell even one of the top Microsoft guys recently said he loved Ultima Online & the PKing experience, it's one of his top 5 RPG.

Porta would be cohabited the PvE and PvP players in the same world (not a bad idea).
It will be important not to fall into Superficial PvP system. This is dangerous.

I just to play The Elder Scrool Online.
    Graphically, the game is great.
    The gameplay is superb.
    I love it.
    But ....
... it's a game without freedom and PvP is safe or almost. Heurk !

    Mod Edited for content.

I have put money into this game and the reason is that is because of a full loot game feature, Same as UO

Id be very dissapointed if they do not implement full loot into Shroud of the Avatar.

If its not added I will be putting this game in the bin.

The loot system is a very important element.

At the economic view, the full loot is a must.
It will give importance to crafts players.
    This magic.
It is clear to me that Porta knows this.

I can understand a position with a 80% loot in a world where there are PvE and PvP players.

By cons, for me and thousands of others players, FULL LOOT is definitely a must into a RolePlay Game.

You might not be alone but we don't all feel the same way. While I can and do PvP, I don't like the option forced on me all the time. I think flags are great, but it needs to be a smarter system. Anyways, if you want a hard and cruel world go play Mortal Online.

    Both yes and no!

Do you know how hard it is to remove clothing and armour from a dead body? It takes a lot of time and if the mechanics of the looting involve a timer I would agree. I know we cant have a 30-40 minute timer, a real time estimation, but something like 5 minutes to loot a corpse from a chain armour would de reasonable.

What if they made the rare resources available in PVE but said that there was a 50% chance a killer monster would pop out of the rock & kill you with a 20% chance you could kill them. Would that work?

I'm good with dying to monsters anytime, that's an acceptable risk. Just not players unconsented

The sad thing is with todays instat gratification gamers games like you mention will be few and far between and successful ones even fewer. A game like this nowadays is lucky to have enough players to break even. Tjey all think wow is the gold standard when all it did was streamline all the dull elements into one cohesive yawnfest

I think we need to find a compromise halfway between Full Loot and the ability to protect some items.

This is not my first idea (im for Full loot), but I think we will all be part of a path. It will give us a rich world. With lots of people from different origins (PvP and PvE players.) It will be great.

The compromise isn’t to be made between Full Loot and some Protection. The compromise is between Full Loot and No Loot. And we’ve got that with the ransom conceit. Trying to water it down further towards little more than Full Loot with one or two exceptions isn’t going to make those people on the No Loot side of the spectrum that would have considered the ransom option an acceptable compromise any more likely to PvP than if the Full Loot had remained.
