    It is important that we at least ensure that the conference gets the credit for the money we were going to spend anyway. I am glad it was brought up. I bet there are a few others that unintentionally are not giving the conference credit for the room. It could come down to where one room is the difference between the conference paying for a room nobody uses or extra fun for everyone.

    I think I might get a ticket and just stay Saturday and Sunday (I'm not terribly excited about going to panels). At this point it depends a lot on if the devs revert the cats back to being invulnerable (or make all the other NPCs killable I suppose, although I doubt I'm going to get to murder children in the game) though.

    I sorta feel like Holiday Inn should be able to pick out the attendees even if they don't register..

    "Okay, the one with the dragon-face and plate armor?"
    "147, check!"
    "Okay .. big guy in a kilt with the seven foot claymore?"
    "CLEARLY HERE FOR THE HIGHLAND GAMES, STOOPID! YOU FIRED!"

    PS Holiday Inn will NOT do this, so please let them know you're attending for SotACON, so the event will get credit for your attendance!

    So, great thing about these panels... they're going to be a LOT more interactive than the ones you see at usual cons. If you notice they're scheduled for 90 minutes instead of the 30-60 minutes you usually see. That's because I've already talked with and confirmed that Starr and Richard will be doing 2-way communication with the audience DURING the panel. This should feel VERY organic and not classroom.

    Seems like unlike most conferences where they are promoting sota infont of an audience who is assumed to not know much if anything about the product, the sota con attendees probably have already heard stuff like "mmos have traditionally done blah blah blah, and our plan is to never do blah blah blah, unless we are saying we never do blah blah blah."

    I think I heard them say that before.

    I've received several messages about what it takes to get a cloak.

    1. You must have a Shroud account with Game Access
    2. You must meet one of the following two conditions after meeting the first
      1. Attend SotA Con with a ticket
      2. Donate $25 (or more) to sota con
    We'll release a post about it on our website and try to make it very clear for people. Thanks to devs for already getting some of those details out already! To be sure everything lines up be sure you use your shroud account email when donating!
