    Do you think this will cause any confusion since there is already a skill named "Concentration" under the taming skill tree? Maybe "Single Mindedness" or "Intensification" might help differentiate? Perhaps a new name for the taming skill that offsets mana reduction while a pet is in use?

    One also makes a Concentration Check to avoid casting interruption when taking damage in the D&D and Pathfinder systems... Though that may no longer be true for editions 4 and 5 of D&D... I have no first hand knowledge of those systems.

    This kinda bothers me too.

    This doesn't: There should be no expectation that we follow the same terminology as any table-top system (even D&D).

    Maybe something like Compatibility (you are more in tune with the pet so it doesn't drain you as much) or Obedience (your pet is less frustrating so you can ignore it longer without issue) or Neglect (hmm... maybe I should stop before I dig a hole I can't get out of).
