I cannot help you if you cannot understand it. You will learn padawan.
And as you are old on the forums. I forgive your bullying.
And one more nonsense message.
Instead of looking down on other community members, you could try to explain.
It is only nonsense to you. Many understand besides your not understanding.
The game has PvP and it also has PvE. An individual player has the option to do which ever he wants. Everyone has equal choices. It would only be a penalty if you weren't provided the choice to PvP and were forced to PvE. However that is not how it is. You have equal opportunity. The way it is now, you have the right to flag PvP and risk no XP loss for a chance of 25% xp gain and at most a few hundred gold just like everyone else. Equally.
I see your ignorance excels your wish to be nice and explain.
You should not be awarded bonus XP for something that doesn't really include PvP.
Let the PvP'ers have the XP bonus in PvP areas.
I can see the value in that idea, but I'm not sure how it solves the issue I am trying to get at. As a player, I don't necessarily want to rely on the guards to come in and protect me. Honestly, I'd rather find a way to pay other players to escort me through areas that I cannot venture alone into. Having friends or a guild can be a resource, but of course there are always a variety of schedules and agendas to contend with. I want to be able to log in, and be able to immediately find a pool of players that are "for hire" and I want the game economy to provide a mechanism for that to be profitable to all.
But assuming we can't have that... what I think the situation requires is some kind of counterbalance. Right now, if somebody 30 levels above me decides to pick on me while I am essentially defenseless, they are taking zero risk in engaging me. They've got nothing to lose. How do we remedy that?
one cannot explain wisdom. wisdom is learned. People that have learned wisdom over the last 3+ years understand. I cannot explain something that you have to learn yourself.
Is it so hard to type "People that are not interested in PvP will hog lots in PvP zones".
if you know the answer why are you asking me for it.
We aren't picking on you. We've just written tens of thousands of words on the subject. Nothing changes.
To see if your wisdom is as great as you say.
I would rather walk down the path with you than tell you my version. Everyone see's things in their own filter. You do not need me to put words in your mouth.
Just hope I didn't get you mad at me, I understand what you say and all that. I am just concerned that the devs are giving such a huge bonus to PvP'ers and giving nothing to those that refuse to PvP. Myself I flag if needed, I have no problem with that. My concern is that if someone 5+ levels above me is starting to hit on me I most likely have no chance to defend myself. And if I then calls for help and they come the person/persons attacking just run away with ease and go somewhere else. If they really want PvP then the players attacking should not be allowed to leave area or game until a timer has counted down. Else it will just be griefers that will enjoy the PvP.
I can agree with what you said here. I guess I am slightly jaded and disappointed. I guess thats why I am kind of cryptic on my answers is I want you to judge the game for yourself and not let my feelings about it influence your decision. I had high hopes at one time and I have my reasons for the way I feel. I hope you do not experience the things I have. I want people to enjoy this game, sincerely, even if it does not work out for me.
1. This is experimental, Chris said it would likely be 10% each for multiplayer and PvP.
2. The cup is half full. A handout for some does not imply hatred for everyone else.
3. It is never personal, no need to think of it that way.
Well he wasn't always like that and excuses do not make something right. Some people give up before a game is done and some of them have something to offer but are now on their way out. To Quit the battle before it is done is too squishy in my opinion even though I have great respect for these people and wish them the best. So we fight on our own then.
oops fixed my post in case it is misunderstood, you know me I don't want anyone to quit who still will contribute here. It is a choice to give up
And as it have been for years, the pvp:ers can´t understand us who don't want to play pvp and starts to insult those who want to play a friendly game.
I don't play PVP as a usual course; but, there are risks involved that should be offset by a bigger reward. I also agree with more rewards for people that play multiplayer online vs SPO. There is more competition for resources in multiplayer and players online can help new players, contribute more to the game community and, thus help promote the game vs SPO
So to the OP, yes
I was once an uber leet d00d; back when I had to wait to 9PM to connect my parents house line to my 1200 baud modem to start dialing BBS's.
Now, I'm fine with being the best vagabond fisherman in the game - even if I have to catch 25% more fish!
Relax. Enjoy! Geek out and have fun!
