    Hello fellow avatars,

I was wondering what good questing areas are for a new character, i only know about Soltown atm and the quest which involves Stanley the Guard (main path of love quest right?)

Are there any areas which have nice starter quests like the ones in the soltown refugee camp :)?

    Thanks in advance all.

    Hi mate!
Let's begin to say i'm a beginner too (my first character, around lvl 35).
You should go around and ask to everyone if you may help them. In Soltown, for example, you should check the local Inn too..
There might be someone in need of your help ;)

A great newbie area for quests is the Hidden Vale. To reach it, grab the boat right outside Ardoris.

The three towns there, should be explored in the order: Braemar > Kingsport > Owl's Head. Plenty of easy and generous quests there.

    Ya know.......

I just wish there was a way for me to identify a quest giver. I don't want to be lead by the nose from quest giver to quest ending, but I spent more time than I'm willing to admit talking to NPCs that never gave me a quest.....and I hope now that they were not quest givers or I'd feel very bad and quite ignorant. I played UO Online forever, but never had the pleasure of playing any of the other Ultimas. Played WOW for a number of years but don't want that kinda quest setup. As you can see, I don't have alot of questing experience.

Look, something like our buddy Edvard at Solace Bridge. He was the only one there, he gave us our first lead by naming Stanley. Stanley directed us to the refugees on the small hill, but after that we are on our own. At least to me we are on our own. I've never found another quest giver on my own, nor have I found any NPCs like Stanley or Edvard, kinda the Hub for a certain line of quests. I'm not saying that I haven't done other quests, I've done a few, but I was cruising the forums and ran across posts mentioning a few other quests and I sought them out.

I don't want to, but I see a bookmark in my future that links to a quest site that will tell me who provides quests....what a waste.

    Respectfully submitted.

As bare bone hint, ask these keywords to people:

    name
    job
    news
    work

Start from here. Be inquisitve, be curious.

We're moving forward on ensuring you have a clear path on the "critical path" of story quests from the start of the game to the end, clearly marked in your journal. There was some work on Ardoris done this release to help with that.

@Lum Is it possible to start the respective story quest over (zone back to isle of storms) without starting a new character?

I've brought this up a few times but I feel it's really pertinent that the hints system UI gets redone to have the hints in one Window and if possible, a table of contents of sorts to find old hints to know how to do things. Having a ton of hints coming in at lightning speed with really no organization is confusing to players old and new and not overly helpful since you end up just turning it off after a while.

If possible, please change them to some of message system where you can see them as a list or at least put them all in one box, but give us the left/right arrow to go through them. Then may have a X button to get rid of the message.

This way we can browse back and forth if we need or get rid of the message that we don't want to see anymore.

    @Lum
Thanks bud, happy to hear there is gonna be a "clear path on the "critical path" of story quests from the start of the game to the end". I just want to participate in the quests but have, so far, found the questing (after the ones Stanley provides) to be too tedious for an old man new to this type of setup....to be enjoyable. So far it's just been frustrating as hell. But, I'm working on it and it's nice to know that it's in your very capable hands and is being worked on.

No. Why would you wish to do this?

It is possible to return to the Isle of Storms but Arabella has moved on.

Sorry I wanted to do this to experience the three starting quests while they're being worked on, purely for feedback reasons.
