Hello, I am not sure if this has been brought up. If so I apologize. I think it would be very cool to have watches and clocks like the Ultimas and UO! tick tock

    And perhaps sextants? :D

It would be cool to also have some functional hourglasses. Sometimes it is the little things... lol

I don't know about a functioning hourglass but I'm 120% with you on clocks and watches. It would be strange not to have them. Especially when the automations we have this time are "clockwork" automations.

As for sextants.. there's already one waiting to be put in-game (probably after a retexture)..

    Good news regarding the sextants!

I was stretching with the hourglass idea. It could have some use I suppose. However I would really like to see a LB minted rolex and pocket watch! :D

heh don't know about the rolex but we definitely need a pocket watch. I'm not sure what purpose an hourglass would serve but yeah.. we do kind of need one. I would find clocks to be a sign of wealth in New Britannia. Especially grand father clocks like we saw in Ultimas. Somehow it just feels right to me that the 'common' folk would still commonly use an hourglass, especially for cooking, navigation and any low level sciences.

It wouldn't be until an industrial age when clocks would be mass produced that everyone would have one.

An hourglass would be a nice way to time a short event, like a competitive game. "You have one turn of the hourglass to make your move". It would be best if you can set the amount of time you want (i.e., how much sand you put in the glass), and if it had an emote when it started and ended (i.e., "The hourglass begins trickling sand." and "The hourglass is now empty. Time's up!") Combine this with a well-animated object, and all we need is some more games (like the checkers one posted somewhere on here) and we can start a game hall.

i cant see why we couldnt have clocks since we do have a radio and electricity.

love the hour glass thing as well could be used to spicen up player events or even maze holder records on getting out

Perhaps an option to set a number of clicks for the metronome to stop ticking as an hourglass alternative?

I like the concept of the clocks, watches, and sextants a lot.

Though I am curious (and I apologize if this has been asked already): does the SotA setting/world run on a 24-hour, 365.25-days , 12-month cycle, or is it slightly different?

Heck, with the moon(s) in pieces, I'd wonder how something like the typical lunar-dependent werebeasts would work.

Well. It can't be clockpunk if there are no clocks, can it?

Interesting concept. Would be nice to see fully implemented, and great idea on the sextant.

Since were getting into useful paraphernalia, shops in Ultima also had hand bells in them to get the storekeeper's attention.

I thought maybe the Darkstarr Moondial would already have the system in place to tell time, among other things, and the devs could just transfer the time-telling portion, but after reading the description again, I'm not so sure that will be the case.
