Closing NPC chat window

    There used to be a little X at the corner of the NPC chat window to close it so you could end the conversation with an NPC by closing the chat window. Could this be re-instated?

    Right now the only way to close a conversation is to type a word of farewell. This is inconvenient because the cursor focus is often not in the chat box, and you have to take your hand off the mouse to type the word.

    Closing conversations with the ESC key isn't working right now (bug I suppose).

    there was a selection item in the drop down triangle, but yes, I did prefer the X being there to dismiss the window

    Ah, I hadn't noticed the drop down for removing the tab. :)

    ESC not closing the chat window is a bug and will be fixed in the next patch.

    The instructions say hitting ESC twice will close the chat window, and it was working on the QA server for me this morning.
    Is this related?

    The bug is that ending an NPC chat with ESC does not work if your chat window is pinned open.
