    I kind of lost a bit of interest this release, I've played every one and I kinda did everything again and again, I feel like Im in groundhog day. Sure there have been incremental changes and lots of additions but in all honesty I just feel I am repeating myself. Still excited about the eventual release but looking at the whats coming for R10 I can see me logging on for an hour or two.

    I agree i havent felt as compelled to test like i was three releases ago. It seems very mundane but fulfillig when u know you are the one who found a bug but there should be some continuity for each release

    At least let us keep our recipes memorized and perhaps our crafted items.

    Also the equivalent of gear locker( i forget the name but for abilties) where you can save specs instead of hae to redo everything from scratch i know u cant save what abilities you if u reallocatr skill points and then switch to a saved spec it should reassign your abilties to whatever you had chosen when u saved it. The annoyance isxworse every launch.

    I don't check this thread for a half a day and it becomes a crusade for reagent requirements?

    Let me assure the dev team that there are people who absolutely do NOT want reagents required for every spell. It's an un-fun way to play the game. I think what we have now is a good compromise. I would prefer no reagents, but I can definitely accept reagents for high level spells, but not low-level spells.

    To get back on track....

    One of the things they have said is that magic has changed after the cataclysm, so there is no need for continuity (names or effects) with previous lore.

    I hate to be overly critical here but I feel that this post was very rushed and didn't share much in the way of impressions. I am sure the office is crazy busy with Pax and DragonCon this weekend and possibly Darkstarr will share more insight at the next Dev Hangout but I was left wanting in this post. I am not a naysayer by any means because I think in the end SotA will be a great gaming experience, but I am a bit more use to details and frank dialogue about the state of the game. This statement reads more like what I expect from a AAA title who really doesn't care about discussion but needs to put out their standard release to the masses.

    The coolest part of this project is being able to actually see a game be developed and have great game developers walk us through the thought process as well as seek our input. So I prefer when they give us the good, bad and ugly after each release.

    The post was bare-bones because they released a video Postmortem yesterday afternoon, which covers most of the "how it went" kind of stuff. I'm still hoping for one of Chris' techy posts, but most of what Starr and Richard would say are already in the video.

    gaiaism and druidry are a bit misleading. Earth magic just deals with dirt, where druids and followers of gaia are more earth, plant, animal types of folks.

    When is character customization going to get to the body?

    Or what if the horcrux allowed you to rise upon first 'death' as an undead lich and keep this new undead form until you are killed again? (of course, you couldn't use a horcrux again in this form).

    Being able to put a label on someone like 'Necromancer' is, in my mind, not important for this type of 'classless' game.
