    Was watching the recent Livestream:

Had a couple questions for @DarkStarr about this new feature:
    1. Some houses do not have doors, even in places that look like doorways. Will these get "filled in" eventually, or will there be an option to build doors in those areas?
    2. Will basement doors also be included in this system? If so, will there be basements with proper hallways, since many are just open areas so if you lock one those on lower floors can't access their "room".
    3. Will renters who place deco/items in their rented areas be able to protect it against the owners? When "evicted", are their items mailed to them?
Really looking forward to the rent system!

This is the most important thing. A renter should have complete control over a room the same way a lot owner would normally have control over the lot. The only control the lot owner should have is eviction, and evicting someone from a room should work the same way as evicting someone from a lot.

(Although I can think of an argument for 'pre-furnished' rooms too, where some decos are glued down by the lot owner and unable to be moved or changed by the renter, only added to).

Well, I can see some desire for owners to place some objects. A decent inn will have a bed, desk, dresser, etc, and you can put other stuff in there as long as you keep paying. So there can be a mix of "owned" deco items in the room, and evicting should remove everything owned by the renter, but leave items the owner placed there. That can be even more confusing if the renter can place items in a container that they do not own.

    Messy. But necessary.
