Killing Watchers

    We have had a lot of threads commenting on watchers. I have to ask, is killing them going be a factor in determining our virtue path? I ask because when I fight mobs with watchers around with a weapon that hits multiple targets, invariably the watchers crowd in with the mobs and a swing later they lay dead in the pile of corpses. If killing them is bad, then some modification in their programming is needed to keep them from sneaking into the fray where they will be killed unintentionally.

    I don't count sheep, cows, pigs, chickens, dogs or cats as "mobs"...... :p

    There's a watcher hanging around the random encounter with the burial shrine. Where skeletons rise up; you have to move the skeletons out of the way to avoid hitting the watcher.

    There's nothing wrong with your virtue. You're not the one creeping around and spying on everyone! Seriously, the next time one of those beeping monstrosities scans your crotch I suggest you violently disassemble it.

    So, the instance in the OP rarely happens.. but it would be nice to know if virtue is going to take a hit, ever, and I'd assume the watchers would affect that somehow... but who knows..

    Those watchers are a menace. Just try walking close to them and watch what happens.

    Well i for one hate the watchers. The sound is annoying as hell and they just drive me bonkers. Its the Oracle's way of keeping an eye on you and scanning you to see if you are following your path or not. Pfffft. After half an hour of screeching watchers my virtues tend to go out the window. LOL

    I can't stand these spies - spies = evil no matter why they are there IMO - so the only good "watcher" is a dead watcher!

    Watchers are bad bad bad weird little things. Not being able to kill cats is weird enough... then we have to deal with little robot things that creep around and spy on us all the time... If ever there was a "the man" in SotA - it's the Oracle.

    this is one of those perfect mmo opportunities...If people find the watchers creepy or offensive, they can and should start a cult that actively pursues them. For all we know, plot-wise this could be the point. How much oversight will you bear as a citizen of New Brittania? Will people question their presence? Will we start to actively destroy them?

    I wonder what the respawn rate is on them? Perhaps it is different than on creatures. It might be interesting to try to kill them all... once and for all.

    I just wanted to let you know I found another area where watchers get killed accidently in non-PVP area. It is in the overland random encounter near Graff. You are pulled into Elenvees encounter with hardened skeletons. Watchers there glide right into the fight and get killed.
