Parsing closely, I'd point out that it is "By Design" not "as intended." A design can often have unintended consequence.

oooohhhh NOW i see why the /iheartyou emote is not available to your loyal fans who have been testing your game for years— Because it's BY DESIGN !!!! Good job WP, you had THE idea there, OH YEAH WOW THAT REALLY beats all expectations. One could have guessed that Khasi the Priestess of Love could just as well PISS ON YOUR BOOT or MAYBE just MAYBE even say "Hello" to your Avatar or SOME GOD DAMN benefit from finishing her BORING ASS QUEST… but OH NO, GOD FORBID!!! you have made the best of it again THIS TIME, YOU LOSERS. WHO DO YOU HAVE DESIGNING THIS CRAP FOR YOU, A RETARDED SHOCK MONKEY?! Really a good show there. NO REALLY!! it’s great that we can test your broken game for years and NOT IN ANY SINGLE WAY COLLECT ALL THE EMOTES so that everyone knows how show their LOVE FOR EACH OTHER. WOW HOW LONG DID THAT TAKE YOU MORONS TO CODE?!!

This must be one hell of an emote to merit such a passionate thread :)

It is more that it feels as if someone decided arbitrarily that I put this emote in after the fact and I don't want to be bothered to make it accessible to players as they discover it after the fact. Now I am not saying that this is how it has occurred but it is how it feels. I really enjoy periodically checking to see if there are new emotes and then to go out and get them. Now I have found out because I have done these quest and can now no longer get them. I have one account that has used and redone the quests so I am really SOL. And Yes, to "redo" those quests now on my other acct. Um......... No. I would rather be slowly tortured by Cardinal Espana. *Shudders in Fear* It almost seems as if someone likes to piss off your target group. You know. The ones that help pay salaries?

A design change can also have a JIRA filed for it. Saying "we'll file a JIRA but won't get to it for now" would have prevented all this forum fracas.

Legit, designing it as a new feature, the "I heart you emote", which a large amount of their active player base will never be able to attain really is poorly thought through design. From the grumbles I am hearing in game, the amount of forum posts is just the tip of the frustrated folks. No I do not expect a lot of rage quits over this, but it really seems to be perceived as a slap in the face to those who worked so hard to get their shrouds and any subset of those who have made it just past the first major hurdle of the love quest, there are so many who are very frustrated indeed.

Maybe just grant the emote to folks who have already completed the main quest line, when these types of emotes are introduced to the game? or create a side quest for players that have already completed the Love quest etc. Khasi would recognize you've completed the quest but still has something for you to do or whatever.

All content should really be available to everyone, unless you made specific choices affecting your reputation that would preclude you from accessing it in the first case (like for instance love related quests for killers)

Uh... whomever said this was by design is wrong (I can say that, I designed it, it's my bad)

    I will fix.

Khasi is an independent woman with her own standards.

We should not attempt to subvert her will to conform to our desires.

A failure to realize this is absolutely a failure to comprehend the virtue of Love.

    Feature IMO.

Love is fleeting, it is not something which can be attained by brute force as a guarantee.
