Polearm needs more weapons

    Another thing you might do is refine fizzle rates on polearms.. and require staves to be made of certain materials to lower the fizzle rates for magic users.

    Whereas now you basically have weapons vs magic utility.. the mage's staff can't really be used as a melee weapon which is pretty absurd. But with the material requirement and say.. certain components add to fizzle rate.. (ie halberd heads) you could allow polearms the option of magic utility as they have now. So a staff is a bleedin' staff whether it's a magic user or a non-magic user. Just make the magical staff have less offensive power that a staff built differently.

    I actually like the idea of there maybe being a quest to get a special material or specially treated component to make a staff with but I suppose we're beyond that point now with crafting.

    It could mean both ent and reaper, if they're able to speed tree them to different tree types ;) But thats a bit OT. Being able to use their limbs for staves and things like that would be interesting though....
