Sure. Any local variable in memory, not validated by the authoritative central server, can be changed/adjusted as often as you wish.

So, you find the local memory variable that is your run speed, and/or run speed modifier based on skills, and increase it. Then you move faster than normal.
OR
You find the local memory variable that is your attack/swing speed, including modifiers like haste, and increase it. Then you attack faster than normal.

Certain aspects of the client like movement prediction of other players are almost always infrequently validated with the authoritative server. This gives the illusion of lower latency than reality.
If you constantly validate -everything- with the authoritative server, you end up with a poor end user experience in high latency environments like Alaska to Florida (or say, australia <-> england).

By far, the most common hacks for online games are speed hacks (movement speed, teleportation, fly-hacks) because these are the most common trusted aspects of the client for the sake of the illusion of responsiveness.

Our priority is game development and getting the data we need into our database so we can track issues. Often that means we are processing literally hundreds of forum posts in a single day which unfortunately leaves us little time for social niceties but we will try to do better.

Some guy followed me around KSing me and looting my kills this morning. I was like how does a backer/early-access player really get off on grief play already?! Oh, online games...

 

You could always go test the other feature, if it really gets annoying. SPOnline. Then you could go on enjoying without the annoyance.

 

I measured today Ardoris and had mostly between 18-22 fps with my GTX980. I am playing on 1920 x 1080, thought this resolution let my graphic card unchallenged, like with nearly the most modern games on high details, but SoTA is really able to drop my frames to the ground. ^^ Trust in you this will change
