Davropos is showing a quest available because of the lich summon quest.

Arnice DeMalo will show as a quest NPC if you are on the Path of Love; it is to get players to get his hint about the shortcut to the Necropolis.

The spider encounter is not considered a quest.

Thanks for the reply. I may not have expressed myself well enough. I probably should have created a bug report for all three.

Regarding Spiders: I may have been in the wrong place but I never triggered that encounter. I understand you're not in charge of that Lum.
Regarding the Ancient Traveler who I assume is Arnice DeMalo: I understand that spiders are not a quest, but if "rumors abound" about spiders in that area, shouldn't he be able to answer an inquiry about spiders?
Regarding Davropos: I have completed the Summon Lich quest, but I'm currently unable to speak with Davropos. Shouldn't he still hold conversations with people even after they complete that quest? I was trying to let you know there may be a bug, but perhaps this is working as intended.

That NPC is not intended as a tour guide, but as a hint to new players on how to avoid combat in a dangerous scene. There was not any dialog added regarding a spider encounter. (Plus, um, he's insane. I wouldn't look to him for travel guidance.)

That is a bug, but not one I have been able to duplicate. He has a brief acknowledgement when you greet him if you have already recovered his tome.

Are these supposed to be in the add-on store yet? (I haven't seen them)

Thanks for another great release, new content, features, and most especially new scenes. The new emotes, patterns, and other combat/crafting content have me pretty exciting.

Im actually very surprised at this change. Did players ask for this specifically, or was this a purely internal idea?

A "blue glow" is not far off from an "!". Can this please get refined into something more immersive, like perhaps a particular NPC animation (they wave at you, they call to you, they ask for help, they broadcast a text emote that they look around worried/concerned, etc). People dont just spontaneously glow blue just when they need something from an avatar, thats just as unimmersive as a "!". A blue glow is really just a less convenient "!" or "?", its the same non immersive, "click to win" kind of game culture, just less effective UX.

I think you should instead call this system "totally less effective version of !". Personally, Id prefer none of it, save for more sensible actions I mentioned above. I am concerned for this being a beginning of all manner of immersion breaking UX hand holding features.

    ;)

Very excited for a wider variety of polearms, even if its just cosmetic :-D

    Thanks!!!!

Only if its off by default. On by default drastically changes the in game culture. I fear this is only the beginning.

Hey guys, in the Q1 2017 update you said this:

"We will also begin the work necessary to make player equipment placeable as decorations."

I have not seen anything about this in the actual release notes for R39 and dont see them in game, any ETA or update on this tech?

    Thank you,

Making musical instruments placeable was the first step (R39). More will come in R40.

    I asked before, without reaction,
so I ask again, if anybody knows something about the information for R38?
"...We will also be adding more combos, more skills, and more spells. "
I didn't read anything about it in the R39 information.
Will there be new skills/combos in R40?
    Thanx for short information :)

Chris noted in the telethon that hes going to try to get more of this in R40. To start if I recall right, the moon tree will get 2 more spells.
