On this note, one of the issues that I've always had with the wall pieces is that if you align one side to not have a seam where the pieces come together then the other side will almost always have a visible seam.

I've generally been able to assemble them seamlessly.

Have you checked both sides of the wall?

Something I have always run into is that the ground may be flat, but when two pieces connect, one appears to float as the ground is slightly higher and the wall wants to climb upwards, and the combined wall shows a gap under it.

That might be more common on a POT template placement than a lot, but that can also happen.

Golly gee, No... It never crossed my mind that there were two sides to a wall!

    Thanks!

Another issue is that all the special pieces (curves and corners) are jacked up.

You can't make very many designs because the angles will not be correct and you can't close out your fortifications correctly. I have a giant stock pile of unused pieces because of this.

I'm a big fan of constructible walls. My only thought to the contrary is that I see keep/castle walls in major (big city, highly traveled) scenes as an important aesthetics in some areas. The game just looks better with those walls in place (think of key castle and keep lots around Ardoris). I'd hate to see these turn into non-walled flee market sites now, from a game aesthetics viewpoint.

The good news is the culling change. Glad to hear that. Great job!

    Thank you @Barugon.

Yes, there are some... I have a <expletive deleted> kilometer of walls. Some of the joints are imperfect.
And if I wanted to spend the time, I could get rid of all of them.

We may need a skill tree for placing items. The better the skill, the better snap to grid works. At 40 the next skill is opens, the undo button. :)

Only if I get a buttload of backdated XP for messing with walls for the last 2+ years.

Then you need an object rotation skill too .. And put paintings on the wall at crooked angles by default ;)

And if your virtue is highly chaotic, perhaps when you place pictures on the wall, they appear in completely different surfaces like floors, doors and entire walls.

@Berek, will this improvement be retroactively applied to all wall pieces?

As long as its the same art. Its all good..I remember the walls from 2015 when we tried it and they sucked. I can deal with messing with the walls, and I apologize for not being
up to date with the new wall kit. If that's the case all is good and I suppose it makes a lot of sense to have the option of no wall or any of the walls you sell. I do not require help with the walls.

A few well positioned pine trees and a few more glasses of wine made me feel better about this issue the last I contended with it.

@DarkStarr not sure if anyone has had an issue, but if I come into the scene, Brittany Fields, and I try to walk onto my Keep lot I have an invisible blocker. It eventually goes away in about 5 to 10 seconds and I can freely cross over the property line. I think its from the old walls. Just something I noticed recently after the walls came down.

It won't allow you to step onto the lot until everything is loaded.
