Tracy co-authored The Sword of Midras which is the first of three books pre-dating our time here in New Britannia. There will also be a book written by Tracy that chronicles the history of the Vertas Elves.

Other than that, I believe Tracy is a consultant to Portalarium and considered one of the "lore masters" of the game. Richard, Lum the Mad, and FireLotus being the other major contributors to the lore.

From time to time, Tracy will visit during developer hangouts and answer lore questions with Richard.

Tracy was with Richard at DragonCon this past year. It was a great forum. He's deeply involved in The Void, which must take up most of his time.

In addition to the book "Sword of Midras", Tracy worked together with Richard on storyboarding out the main plot of the game.

First off, Tracy Hickman is a deity to me, some of the first books I read as a kid were the dragonlance books (as an 11 year old) and I still read the first two trilogies every few years.

Ive been in game over a year and I have not seen anything of Hickman in game. I think I've watched just about every video they produced since and still none. I did read the book when it came out. But, I wish I saw more Hickman involvement.

He's been in a few dev hang outs (maybe 3 or 4?). He's not usually on for more than an hour, but he answers questions about the lore and some about DragonLance (when you sneak them in!). Sorry I don't have a link for you, the videos are out there though.

This very much makes it sound as if Tracy Hickman's involvement has served its purpose and is pretty much done and dusted.

This is a very common scenario in the game industry. You have a range of full-time employs to contractors to remote, etc. etc. Sometimes developers are brought in at the very beginning and stay for their needed time or through the entire process, sometimes later towards launch (for marketing and such), sometimes sporadically as needed, and sometimes just briefly for consulting.

Will there be two more Shroud of the Avatar books written by Tracy Hickman?

There is an NPC in the game 'modeled' as a tribute to Tracy... Which is quite important to the story.

Yes. According to Tracy's last blog post (March 2016), he was hoping to get the second book done in Fall 2016. However, I know he has gotten much more involved in The Void than he expected, and he hasn't updated his site since then.
